I like to think of this phenomenon as somehow being a sign of my maturing as a fantasy games player. I know that one of the keys to playing high level golf is an empty brain almost do not give a heck approach. Perhaps, ironically, not caring so much about SC will lead to better results?

I would confess to the Snoz confession. For me it is the keeper aspect, making it different to the commercial leagues where you are seeking immediate impact and much depends on your luck high or low in the draft. In ORFFA you have the chance to rectify draft disparities and your own dumb mistakes. You believe you have an eye for talented youth and you get a chance to watch them grow in your own team. Also there are boundless opportunities for gross silliness in the ORFFA banter, something that is more difficult to achieve in SC. Now, if that other mob are also having a snooze during the bye rounds, what about selecting one of those rounds for our ladder leader to go head to head with theirs in a one-off challenge? Wouldn't matter if they had a couple of the same players (ala SC) and the bye would be a great leveler. And it might end up being a family affair. Whaddiyareckon? We could all cheer on the ORFFA team from the sidelines! /Portals/0/User%20Images/cheerleaders.jpg

+1 on that idea TiB, nice thinking lad.......could also do seperately a total points thing for all ORFFA vs all ORFFL.....say top 10 players from each 18 man squad vs their mob. As for 'having an eye for talented youth & watch them grow'.....there are so many (bad) things I could say about that, better I mute myself :)

If we were to do something at that point it would have to be with squads as registered week prior (which should be doable) as I think we are both having drafts and trade periods during that period?
Nothing wrong with multiple traditions imo.

H. prefers to play by himself, or with siblings, to wit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnBgsofm2l0 Mind you, there is quite a dollop of presumption involved in suggesting that les Savages and the Chooks will be ladder leaders at that time.
