Could everyone please put in big letters at the top of their post if it is an auction? (see above) Even this early on, I found it slightly hard to sift through for any auctions, so this will hopefully help that I'm still thinking about who I will put up for auction, so keep an eye out if you want one of my players (or PM me)
PLAYER AUCTION x 2 The Bulls are throwingtwo players in to the auction arena as we seek to improve our draft position / bolster our midfield. Nathan Grima Defender - Nathan played 14 games this year at an average of 76.2 inc North's 3 finals. An average of 76.2 sees Grima around the top 50 mark for defenders so based on that is a starting defender. Jimmy Toumpas Midfielder - Jimmy has played 18 games in two years and as a number four draft pick has the potential to be a gun midfielder in years to come. Melbourne's ineptness has probably stunted his growth however with another preseason under his belt Jimmy will be looking to blossom in 2015. Over to you coaches. Auctions to end 8pm AEST Friday 3rd October

AUCTION As could be expected after a disappointing 10th place finish, the Buffaloes are willing to be savage on their list in an attempt to make a push up the table. Closing time for all listings in this post will be midnight October 4 AEST. We have a total of 6 players up for auction and it starts with a proven veteran; Paul Chapman Chappy may be on the wrong side of 30 but with a top score in 2014 of 142 and 5 scores of 115+ he proved there is plenty of life in the old dog yet. A perfect addition to a team on the verge of premiership contention as an invaluable forward. Age: [span class='Apple-tab-span' style='white-space: pre;] 32 2014 Average: [span class='Apple-tab-span' style='white-space: pre;] 97 Position: [span class='Apple-tab-span' style='white-space: pre;] FWD/MID Shaun Atley This young defender from North Melbourne is coming off one of his most consistent seasons and is ready to launch into the prime of his career. A modest average of 71 this season is offset by a high score in 2014 that topped the ton (103) and the fact he is still only 22. Age: [span class='Apple-tab-span' style='white-space: pre;] 22 2014 Average: [span class='Apple-tab-span' style='white-space: pre;] 71 Position: [span class='Apple-tab-span' style='white-space: pre;] DEF Travis Varcoe Almost traded away from the vast Serengeti plains during the mid-season draft, Varcoe proved his worth by hitting a top score in 2014 of 120. Still only 26 years old and with an injury interrupted early career behind him, has plenty of good football ahead. Age: [span class='Apple-tab-span' style='white-space: pre;] 26 2014 Average: [span class='Apple-tab-span' style='white-space: pre;] 63 Position: [span class='Apple-tab-span' style='white-space: pre;] FWD/MID Shannon Hurn A tough call to be put up for auction given Hurn overcame an early season injury to finish the year in incredible form. Taking out his injury affected score in round 2 of 7, he averaged 93 for the year and had a massive top score of 157. At 27 he doesn't quite fit the profile the Buffaloes need but still showing plenty of value for teams closer to the top of the tree. Age:[span class='Apple-tab-span' style='white-space: pre;] 27 2014 Average: [span class='Apple-tab-span' style='white-space: pre;] 87 Position: [span class='Apple-tab-span' style='white-space: pre;] DEF Brock McLean Not loved by many, Brock had a very solid year and after overcoming a slow start to 2014 managed to win a contract extension with the Blues while pumping out a top score of 111 and a consistent 80+ on 6 occasions to show he has still got what it takes to compete at the top level. Age: [span class='Apple-tab-span' style='white-space: pre;] 28 2014 Average: [span class='Apple-tab-span' style='white-space: pre;] 70 Position: [span class='Apple-tab-span' style='white-space: pre;] MID Cam Guthrie The second controversial auctionee after Guthrie had a real breakout year in 2014. At only 22, Guthrie had a top score of 126 and topped scores of 80 on 10 occasions. With defender status and such a young age he has plenty going for him but the club understands to land something you have to offer something! Age: [span class='Apple-tab-span' style='white-space: pre;] 22 2014 Average: [span class='Apple-tab-span' style='white-space: pre;] 82 Position: [span class='Apple-tab-span' style='white-space: pre;] DEF

Stewart Crameri is a 26yo FWD who played 22 games in 2014 for a low av of 68, with a season high of 118. This was his first season at The Dogs but with a young improving midfield to supply him quality ball, he should really improve his scoring potential in the coming seasons. I'll offer you pick 28 in the PSD draft for Crameri Hey ddsaints, pick 28 is the Barracuda's, hands off bloke! Check out the PSD Draft Order 2015 thread, you can't just double the number that you got in round 1 (i.e. pick 14) cause there's 4 more coaches after you. Your picks are 14, 32, 50, 68, 86.
Haha yeah sorry mate. Lucky your on the ball. Silly me. I guess I'll take that offer off the table then. Pick 32 sucks. Not going to get Crameri for that. Sorry

ok time for me to join in the fun and enter the auction WrightbrendanLike Damo said, no idea what you want, but how does Matty Jaensch and Greg Broughton sound for Atley & Guthrie? How does this auction work anyway? I resisted the urge to PM in case it undermined the process... do we get feedback or an answer or anything? [span style='text-decoration: line-through;]is there a time limit?October 4 deadline, beauty.

[span style='text-decoration: line-through;]is there a time limit?October 4 deadline, beauty. 1) Closing date for the auction will need to be stated in the thread. Players must be available until the end of the stated day. This will prevent players being taken out of the auction prior to everyone having a chance. 2) You cannot trade a player (via PM) before the auction has completed. 3) Coaches should have a reserve for each player (this does not have to be posted), once said reserve is met, it should be published in the thread so that all coaches are aware that the player is now for sale. 4) Once a reserve has been reached the seller has the option to adjust the auction length, but to no less than 48 hours, or the end of the trade period, whichever is the lesser. 5) As soon as practical after receiving multiple bids on a playerthe seller should indicate whom is in front, any reasoning is optional. 6) All auction bidding is to take place in the thread, not via PM. 7) Remember, as per the rules you can only trade picks from the next 2 drafts. 8) Players are passed in if their reserve is not met prior to the final day of the auction. 9) All auction deals are final unless cancelled by mutual consent.

Thought I couldn't do it. I had just checked with Len from ORFFA and he said they hadn't come across it before and was adjusting their rules to reflect that it couldn't be done. WrightBrendan may not have been keen anyway. I'll update our rules to reflect this as well.

You can still bid for Shannon Hurn, you just can't use Docherty as part of the bid...........that's how I understand it to be.

On my end I probably just don't rate Jaensch's ability to maintain this years scoring record

If you're after someone who will be in their prime in 2/3 years then I bid George Horlin-Smith. Turns 22 in December, played 19 games this year as an inside midand won plenty of contested ball. In the games where he wasn't the sub he averaged 82, with 3 100s.
