DM.......quick question. With finals underway & the H&A season over, I'm guessing we no longer do Les W votes, Rising Star votes etc each week ?

Thanks again to Grav for doing the Les W Medal votes for Round 12 to Round 15. Due to computer troubles at home I wasn't able to stick to my plan of posting a round my day. The way my computer has performed this week it might be a footy fan and goes on strike between football rounds as it was working fine from last Friday night to Sunday afternoon whilst AFL Round 21 was in progress. I have had trouble with it on Sunday evening and during the weekdays and then with Round 22 starting last night it is back to working fine again, for now. I think I will have to delist this computer and recruit a new one. Les W. Medal Leaderboard after Round 15 - Top 26[span style='color: #000000; background: transparent;]

[span style='color: #222222;]With his fourth best afield performance in five games Larrikin Lagoon ruckman Todd Goldstein has regained the lead in the Les W. Medal, moving to 39 votes, four ahead of Waikikamoocow midfielder Nat Fyfe who in turn is four votes of his team-mate and fellow midfielder Dan Hannebery. Foul Bay Chickens midfielder Patrick Dangerfield's run of consecutive games receiving votes ended at six which has resulted in him dropping a place to fourth. With two votes in Round 15 Larrikin Lagoon midfielder Matt Priddis has moved up to fifth place.

Matt Priddis is this week's player in focus and has been in strong form from Round 5 to Round 15, polling votes in eight of his 10 games during that period to now look set to finish high up on the Les W Medal leader-board for the second year in a row, having finished equal third in 2014. In a high quality game the ruck and centreman combination of Goldstein with five votes and Priddis with two votes played pivotal roles in the Lefties defeating Darraweit Guim in Round 15, 1,423 points to 1,350. Against Darraweit Priddis dominated at the coalface, having 17 kicks, 17 handballs, 17 contested possessions and 12 clearances whilst also laying seven tackles and having four inside 50s. With only two rounds remaining in the home and away season two clubs between them have four players in the top five of the 2015 Les W Medal, the Larrikin Lagoon Lefties with Goldstein and Priddis in first and fith position respectively, and the Waikikamoocow Incorrigibles with midfielders Fyfe and Hannebery in second and third respectively. Foul Bay's Dangerfield is the odd man out in fourth place.

Thanks Ant, missed that one. Thanks Ant for pointing this out and Grav for confirming, I have corrected the Round 14 post above, awarding the 1 vote to Wines and have updated the spreadsheet with the Round by Round votes.

An article on the 2015 Les W Medal winner Todd Goldstein and briefly covering the other leading vote-getters will be posted in this forum later this month. Before then I will be focused on getting the ORFFA Rising Star up to date so the coaches can submit their votes.

Goldy and Dean - two exceptional efforts. I recall vividly the discussions at the start of the season that centered around how the change in SC rules meant that rucks would be disadvantaged. What did we know - two excellent ruck men in the top 5 of the Les W Medal. Perhaps it is about time that forwards and defenders were similarly 'disadvantaged'?
