Can certainly do that. Might even add a nice bit of flavour to all the leagues. Ok, so, what defines a player as rising star eligible? Is that the same rules as the AFL? ie- younger than 21, less than 10 games played

With Les W (brownlow), we had it that if there is a tied score, the player on winning team gets higher vote count. If its still a tie, the coach got to choose who got the better... not sure how that could be automated? Maybe it could? Coaches choice prompt?
Yes it did happen... but I just remembered, if the coach didnt make a choice, it reverted to the player with the higher season SC ave. Is that doable?

Yep, we only tracked if they were actually named for their ORRFA side. Even then, we dont currently have the full records for last season. @dmandrews might have more data to see if it looks right.
yeah, the above are the points earned by each player for their team (so, halved if needs be). (Or at least, should be- hence the double checking. ) What I meant by Noms, was more a case of "Cripps was the highest scorer in round 1, thus he's now nominated for the RS style nom. Cripps high scored in round 2, but is already nommed, thus Hogan as the 2nd highest for the round got nommed. Brayshaw high scores in round 3, thus gets nommed. All this talk of nomming though, might need a snack.
Ahh, cool, i think youve just saved @dmandrews a lot of work! We didnt use the nomination format of AFL. We've just compiled data for whole season then at end of season all coaches got to vote 5,4,3,2,1 and the most votes was winner
Interesting to see that Cripps took out the RS in both the ORFFL and ORFFA, while Touk Miller got it in the ORFFU
I'll get Dean to send you his methodology mate, if you follow that, and it should be logical and therefore simple programming we would love it. He can leave teh stats part alone then concentrate on a more article style approach where he has time
rising star is now on the leagues page. Currently it (and the ladder) is set to the end of last year, but it will roll over each week.
