OK the Fixture and Matchday have been updated for the Elimination Finals. How the ladder is calculated for the PSD Order (PSD Order is the reverse of the Final Ladder order): Bottom 10 as at the end of the regular season rankings. The top eight ranks are calculated as 1 GF winner, 2 runner-up, 3-4 highest for points in Prelimination Final loss and 5-8 highest for points in Elimination Final loss. As it stands at the moment (not including any PSD trades from the MSD draft): <table width='672' style='width: 504pt;' border='0' cellspacing='0' cellpadding='0] <col width='84' style='width: 63pt;[/img]<col width='87' style='width: 65pt;[/img]<col width='104' style='width: 78pt;[/img]<col width='96' style='width: 72pt;[/img]<col width='117' style='width: 88pt;[/img]

Elimination Final Preview Ararat Armadillos v Pearcedale Panthers ‘Déjà vu' In a case of déjà vu Ararat will host Pearcedale again this week, if last week is anything to go by then an absolute cracker awaits. As we recall Ararat just got over the line by 8 points in the final round of the year and will be looking to repeat their victory as they strive to go back to back. This is finals elimination footy there is no tomorrow for the loser, lets dissect some numbers in attempting to find a winner. The Armadillos enter the finals on a 10 match winning run having not tasted defeat since round 7, and all the numbers point to a comfortable victory for the defending champ. Ararat appear to have an aura surrounding them and opposition teams have struggled to score against them and as such they have had the least points scored against them in 2015. Pearcedale have been patchy of late however on the back on some good early season form managed to hold on to a spot in the 8. They did belt out 1421 in round 16 which highlights their ability to score. Pearcedale have the lowest points scored of all the finalists however will be buoyed by how close they got to Ararat last round. The teams are neck and neck for points scored over the last two weeks with both being around the 1200 mark. Selection Table Ararat appear likely to be without star midfielder Adam Treloar again this week. Shane Edwards, Daniel Wells & Adam Tomlinson are all chances of passing fitness tests later in the week and will press for selection. Lumumba was one of two playing emergencies last round covering Tomlinson, however he failed to take his opportunity and is likely to be omitted this week. I see two potential changes for the Armadillos this week with Edwards and Tomlinson returning to the side fitness pending at the expense of Lewis Taylor and Lumumba. Luke McDonald another late in last week should retain his place. Pearcedale have their issues and that has been compounded this week with a season ending injury to gun midfielder Luke Parker who joins, Daisy Thomas & Drugs Thomas as players gone for the year. The Panthers will be sweating on the return of Lobbe in the ruck or at least Nankervis fronting up for the challenge. The stocks are pretty thin however McGlynn may be the inclusion for Luke Parker provided he passes a fitness test this week. Getting 15 on the park may be a stretch this week. The Wash Up Ararat just keep finding a way to win, but can they hold on for another three weeks? If Lobbe & McGlynn (or any other fit body) get up for the Panthers then this contest is legitimately game on and this will be line ball. However weight of numbers and fit players has to see the reigning premier start favourite in this one.

Elimination Final Preview Blanchetown Bunyips vs Staghorn Flat Bulls
Surely the match of the round with very little separating these 2 sides. Both are experienced finals teams, the Bulls looking to go 1 better on last year and the Bunyips hoping to avenge their previous early finals loss. Staghorn Flat Bulls After last season there were suggestions the Bulls were a 1-man team - no Rockliff, no Bulls. The skipper was the hero in the prelim but without him in the granny the Bulls looked lost. For the first half of 2015 it seemed nothing had changed with some very inconsistent performances and at the mid-season break the Bulls were 1 loss away from being out of the finals race. However since the byes, the Bulls have started to get a more even spread of contributors. Sure Rocky is back and hitting some good form but their top score of the year (1509) in round 17 came when the star was well held. The Bulls have 1 of the stronger forward lines in the 'FU and an experienced backline, although the loss of James Kelly will mean off-season recruit Taylor Duryea will likely have to step up. The ruck has been a problem at times for the Bulls but McEvoy's recent form has a lot to do with their strong finish to the season. Midfield depth is another issue with youngsters, Hill and Kelly being asked to play key roles. Blanchetown Bunyips With 3 of the stars of the game leading the way, the boys from the bridge rarely put in a bad performance. Pendlebury, Gray, and Jacobs are elite in their positions but it is the bottom 5 players in the team that are the difference between the Bunyips being a good team and a genuine flag contender. For consecutive years the Bunyips have finished top 4 without really dominating their opposition, instead just doing enough to keep racking up the wins each week. But after being bundled out of finals early last year, pressure will be building on the younger players to perform when it counts. Similar to the Bulls, the Bunyips also have 1 of the stronger forward lines in the comp, and the emergence of Laird and Langdon down back sees them solid in that position as well. Also similar to the Bulls, is a lack of midfield depth and the performance young Bunyips, Whitfield and Sheridan against their Bulls counterparts will be crucial to the result. Another important area where the Bunyips will hope to gain ascendancy is the ruck with Jacobs/McEvoy being a key match-up. Prediction Very little separates these 2 teams on paper, not only in overall output but also their spread of players across the field. Blanchetown are the more consistent team, only twice dropping below 1200 for the season, but have also shown they can go huge with a massive 1537 back in round 5. Their recent form has been good too with their scores improving for the last 3 weeks in a row leading to a big 1446 in the final round. Staghorn Flat on the other hand have been a lot more up and down. The only team in the comp to break the 1500 barrier twice this year, both times coming in the last 4 rounds. Despite this recent strong form, a loss in the final round raises some questions - did they cruise a bit knowing top 4 was out of reach or has the effort of coming around the field from so far back started to take its toll? I expect the first quarter to decide this match. If the Bulls can get good run out of Hill, Birchall, and Duryea and Big Boy can push forward and jag a couple of early goals, they can set up a lead that the Bunyips will struggle to run down. Bulls by 30 points.

There you go Tylo, glad you corrected yourself with that bad spelling error in your prediction! I was bloody lucky last week to scrape a win in, glad I got my shit score out of the way and the team looks forward to posting a massive score this week!

The reigning premier, a top 4 finisher and possibly the lowest scoring final in history... then there is King Island :p

wow, loads of ins and outs this week...I have been hit with outs but a big in with Armitage back in the mids.. whilst it would now seem my opponent has a ruck :( Pretty tough final series so far for the Bunyips!

Congrats to the grand finalists. I'll try and get a preview up tomorrow! I suspect there are some sick and sorry boys down on King Island, again they've missed a ticket to the big dance.
