Whatever the reason, if you want to jump in and pick high in the draft, get the player you want and shed the player in question, make a bid. I'll let everyone know via the thread here when reserve has been met, and will then post the closing time for the auction at that time too. I will bid Jordan Roughead & PSD pick 18 & PSD pick 55. Jordan is a 24 year old defender. He is the Vice Captain at the Bulldogs this year which shows they rate him highly and his job security is sound. He has averaged 60-67 for the past 4 years, but is just about to enter his prime and should improve. What else can I say.... he's got a cousin who's a handy player too
Hey Ant - reckon if you took out pick 55 and improved the player on offer just a touch, reserve would be met. I like Roughead as a footballer but I'm not convinced he'll be a guy who scores anything more than about 65-70 during his career - though I'm happy to be proven wrong.

Youth, past average/s and future potential will be taken into account. Once/If reserve is met, I'll put in place a closing time for the auction. Thanks. Taylor Duryea for pick 11

How about Justin Clarke from Brisbane. and PSD pick 18. and also PSD pick 55 if you want it. He's having similar output to Roughead, ave 55 and 57 in his 2 seasons thus far, but he is still only 21 and should have a lot of improvement in him still. A regular in their side, playing 22 games last season. One of the best spoilers in the game, which is regarded highly in CD scoring. Would be a good project player in your def line if you need one.

I like Sam Wright but the draft pick dosn't quite meet requirements. Sam Wright and Pick 18 would be just on reserve I reckon, if there was a 'combination bid rule' available! Pity there isn't!
Also too, just to confirm now that the end of trade period date/s are set in stone, the auctions for Pick 3 and Pick 11 will end at 9am on Wednesday. That might allow negotiations to continue privately on these picks if there are bids close to the mark.

Ant - Kane Mitchell isn't quite doing it for me I have to say. Also, just in response to a couple of queries/requests about both auctions: 1. I'll expand the Pick 11 auction and accept bids involving more than just defenders. And, similar to the pick 3 auction, if you wished to move up the draft order then pitch a player and your pick at me for Pick 11 - though again the player is going to have to be a half decent one. 2. If you are pitching/bidding for Pick 3, think about what Pick 3 would bring in in this year's draft and bid to that value. I'm going to be very discerning on what I'll accept for that pick. 3. If the reserve for one auction is met, both auctions will continue until the deadline time on Wednesday morning. But if one auction is completed and one pick traded away, it will (by logic) be harder to bid successfully for the other pick. Thanks to people who've asked, sorry if I wasn't clearer earlier.

I can't see anyone bidding a player the value of pick 3, when they need to include a late 1st round or early 2nd round pick as well. In any case, fair enough about Mitchell. I thought you may be happy with him if you had watched last nights game. But anyway, I think my 3 bids have got worse each one. Roughead was probably the best. How about this bid for pick 3: Mark Hutchings (WCE. Mid. 23yo) & pick 18.

I guess when I wrote that point 2, I sort of meant that the bid is going to have to add up to what Pick 3 would bring in - to bid to that value whatever you are putting forward. Hutchings and pick 18 isn't far away Ant - if Hutchings was fit and didn't have Groin (TBC) beside his name on the injury list I'd be close to saying that would meet reserve. But after little luck in the past with injuries at the start of the season I'm not keen to follow that route again.
