'its the trade' Gariwerd send Matt DeBoer to Powlett Plains, Powlett Plains send PSD pick #70 to Gariwerd.
..............I presume ur true concern is me vying with u for Fitzys trade-o-matic trophy. I want that trophy: The Hoppers continue to churn, sending pick #33 to Bama's Uglies for Jed Anderson & Pick #60
Another trade from the Uglies as they try to strengthen a brittle backline. the Uglies regrettably send Chad Wingard, Jordan Roughead, Justin Clark and pick 42 to the Cockatoos in exchange for Trent McKenzie and pick 23. that will see out the trading for the Uglies for this preseason and we will take picks 6, 23, 24, 33 to the draft to further strengthen our team

Thanks Bama. Good trading with you.
A trade has been confirmed which sees the Wombats send Lynden Dunn, Kurt Aylett and #59 to the Cockatoos, in return for Kurt Tippett and #77.

As a result of the recently completed auction, Foul Bay sends Jack Trengove into Charlie's Opening and out of Charlie's Opening comes pick 53 which makes its way back to Foul Bay.
Back in the land of high speed internet... I will get an updated team list and pick list up this weekend, les has rolled the stats so will revert to his list. one thing that seems apparent based on some of the trades completed whist I was off is that some coaches are trading in AUD and others in pesos and the conversion rate seems, well odd is a flattering term.

Reckon there's quite a few trades that have under or overvalued players considering the age/s of those involved in the trade. But that's from my perspective. Other coaches with different priorities and needs in the trade and draft period will be able to look at things from an entirely different perspective. Always subjective and always entertaining - what is for one person 'I wouldn't trade that for this guy' is, for another, 'this trade is a great deal'.

Bring the controversy and debate Well I wouldn't have minded getting a % on the margin in the Wingard trade, and I wish I had a fringe ruckman to trade you for starters

Bring the controversy and debate Couple of rather senior aged players with, at best, 2 years of top flight footy left in them which are attracting some very spirited bids at the moment. Now, not saying someone is paying overs or unders - each to their own and there's always going to be a premium for quality and for needs if a team needs a senior player to fill a gap/ But like I said in the auction thread - if I put Brent Harvey up for auction right now I'd be asking for a top 15 pick based on what has been bid and received for others. And Harvey, at best, as 2 years left in him (though he averages 107 as a FWD/MID).

Cradle Mountain were extremely weak in the forward 2 position. Number 1 Devils forward Zorko is a star and averaged 99 points in 2014. After that I had one other 2015 forward that averaged over 70 last year, which is Schneider, barely with 71, and he is only on the Saints rookie list so might not be much use to me. I have got three forwards under 21 including Tom Boyd, and might add another at the PSD, these youngsters should improve considerably over the next three years so I had far greater concerns for my forward line in the short-term than the long-term and was quite content to recruit 32 year-old Petrie even if it is just for two years. From 2011-13 Petrie averaged at least 94 points per game in each season, admittedly his average dropped to 79 last year, however he finished 2014 strongly averaging 94 points per game from Round 12 onwards. With Hurley moving from the forward line to defense Petrie can take over as Boyd's mentor, Drew and Tom can share the forward line for the next couple of years and hopefully by the time Drew retires Boyd is well equipped to be the focal point of the CMD forward line.

Yep, and that's the thing - it is a supply and demand thing. The demand was there for Petrie so trade items had to be supplied. Not wanting to single out any trades or anything like that in terms of what I was saying, more that some older players who are not at their best are attracting decent premiums in auctions. Guess the thing is this too - a 3/4 premium Petrie is better than Boyd right now, so it makes sense to try to recruit him to fill that gap. Its just the ebbs and flows of recruiting and drafting [philosophies that are always interesting to take note of.
