I will get an updated team list and pick list up this weekend, les has rolled the stats so will revert to his list. one thing that seems apparent based on some of the trades completed whist I was off is that some coaches are trading in AUD and others in pesos and the conversion rate seems, well odd is a flattering term. Reckon there's quite a few trades that have under or overvalued players considering the age/s of those involved in the trade. But that's from my perspective. Other coaches with different priorities and needs in the trade and draft period will be able to look at things from an entirely different perspective. Always subjective and always entertaining - what is for one person 'I wouldn't trade that for this guy' is, for another, 'this trade is a great deal'. Name names haha! Bring the controversy and debate Couple of rather senior aged players with, at best, 2 years of top flight footy left in them which are attracting some very spirited bids at the moment. Now, not saying someone is paying overs or unders - each to their own and there's always going to be a premium for quality and for needs if a team needs a senior player to fill a gap/ But like I said in the auction thread - if I put Brent Harvey up for auction right now I'd be asking for a top 15 pick based on what has been bid and received for others. And Harvey, at best, as 2 years left in him (though he averages 107 as a FWD/MID). I may as well explain the bid for Mackie a little. I reckon I paid overs, but I had to if I wanted to outbid Prap's bid. Mackie looked past it last year at times, but he also turned it around and had a largely successful season. I was happy to bid pick 22, cause I was planning to pick the best Defender available with that pick anyway, so it's good to get Mackie guaranteed. I don't rate the MSD a great deal, outside of the 1st few picks, so I was not fazed to include a pick from there. I would have rathered it be my 2nd rounda, but it wouldn't have beaten Prap's bid... Tom Curren I'm very disappointed about losing. But without Mackie, I was facing the prospect of maybe having to delist a player like him anyway. Because I now have Mackie, I can keep my other players similar to Curren (Hutchings, Kerridge et al) and delist a fringe Def in their stead. Mackie is only 30 and is about 3 years older than my next oldest player, so it's not as though I've got any problems with an ageing list, however my def is older than any other line, but it's not a problem. With this addition, I'm happy with my balance and my team is fairly well placed going into the draft now.
Well that's just boring Ant! You killed all the mystery and supposition with your tale of sound logic and astute planning. I was much happier, ignorantly bathing in my presumption that you were as crazy a trader as I. Nice auction btw, great fun to watch.
The Hoppers & Packers have consummated their second deal....... Gundagai bids farewell toone of ouroriginal team members - Aaron Sandilands -who together with his back-up mate Jonathon Griffin and pick #60 in the PSD go to the Packers to form their new ruck line in exchange for Brodie Grundy, ((who now gets to play along sidehis mate Jarrod Witts)), Steven May Def and #40 in the PSD. Powlett Plains and Charlie's Opening have agreed a trade where Danyelle Pearce will join the packers in exchange for Mark Blicavs.
After an intense round of auctioning, Charlie's Opening confirm two players will be leaving the Pit. Andrew Mackie will join Gariwerd in exchange for Tom Curren, Gariwerd's PSD pick 22 and MSD 1st Round pick Drew Petrie will cross the island to join Cradle Mountain in exchange for Jamie Cripps and PSD pick 37. Bandit wishes both players well on their onward journey... and welcomes Cripps and Curren to the team

After some trade discussions and threats of blowing up my team, a trade has been struck between Darraweit and the Lagoon which sees: Darraweit Guim receive Larrikin Lagoon's PSD Pick 11, PSD Pick 17, PSD Pick 48 and MSD Round 1 Pick in exchange for Larrikin Lagoon receiving Darraweit's PSD Pick 32, PSD Pick 38, MSD Round 1 Pick, Josh Gibson and Brendan Goddard. Best of luck to the two players involved, who have been fine servants of Darraweit in the varying times they've been with the club. Hope they continue to play well at their new home at the Lagoon. Thanks for the chat and the offer Grav. Darraweit team management are considering further trades before the trade period runs out with the aim of continuing the rejuvenation of what was, 18 months ago, a very old team. Now with only 4 players aged 29 or over and 14 aged 26 or under, the Dirigibles are happy to be bringing young players in, and will welcome some more through the draft.

The Venus Bay Vultures and Powlett Plains Packers have come to an agreement which sees David Mundy and Clancee Pearce move to the Packers, with Toby Greene on his way to Venus Bay. Sad to see two of Venus Bays players who have been here from the start leave, but we welcome Toby Greene and hope for a big 2015.

As requested earlier we will extend the trade period to overlap with the delistment period. The requirement to have your lists at a maximum of 24 by the end of the 20th March is unchanged and I ill relish the opportunity to delist for anyone who trades to over that amount and fails to correct by the cutoff
