Following that, add in Ben Brown R, Cheney D, Lobb R, Taberner F, Newton M. Lowden R, Edwards F/M who should all go anywhere from 10-30. There are so many more FAs this year than any draft before (I think). At the least, the 13 listed, except for 2 more I'm keeping to myself, should all go top 30. Think part of this wealth of FAs is the increase in younger players leaving clubs to seek opportunities elsewhere. In addition, the Essendon situation might be a factor. The off-season and trade period in the AFL in late 2014 saw a lot of young players change clubs. This opens up opportunities for them, and for others at the clubs they leave.

At the moment, it appears that I'll be taking on those duties as the coach of the team has not re-appeared and delistment deadline is tomorrow (and draft starts on Friday). Was the invitation issued by the ORRFL Commish? Yes there is a precedent, although some in ORRFL expressed a certain amount of displeasure at the time. Just to make it perfectly clear, I have no problem with a temporary arrangement and support the idea (when one considers it was not so long ago that some in ORRFA wanted nothing to do with us, this must be viewed as a promising thaw). Read somewhere that one of the high prospects has diabetes that needs constant monitoring throughout the game (sorry, cannot recall the name). Assume this would put him in the category of a risky pick?

Paddy McCartin, and not risky as they just time when he goes to the bench and give him whatever they give him, then goes back on, just like a standard bench visit except gets medication instead of sitting/walking as much I suppose, maybe bench time may be a minute or so longer I dunno, but from what I've heard doesn't seem too risky. Rate CR's phantom draft haha, shows how much mature age talent we have in our draft pool! Will be a very interesting draft

Strictly need Chris and his fantasy football/Richmond supporting skill set for the delistment and draft period. If we can't find a Richmond supporter within a month keen on years of playing a fantasy game relating to football, we're clearly not trying very hard. Don't worry ORFFAns, we'll have Chris back before you even realise he was gone.
Sorry guys, perhaps I should've emphasised the 'interim' nature of things! It is only in play to ensure that the drafting and delistment processes in the ORFFL can go smoothly. Because the team in question - Merton - has something like 15-17 Richmond players on its list, I guess I have some level of insight into these players' outlooks and point scoring opportunities. (Though there are now 4 fewer RFC players in the team post delistments - I don't stuff around) Definitely still here and definitely still interested in talking trades (I'm awaiting a couple of replies as we speak!)

I have a small amount of concern that an extended trade period allows those who have an offer on the table to hold off for as long as they can in the hope of a better offer. Understandable, but not entirely in the spirit. Here endeth the sermon. Some people seem to be taking a very long time to respond to messages.

I could, but then what chance have I got that some decent players fall to me at my first pick if I just go listing them all Who am I kidding, I love a challenge.... Will be very interesting none the less to see where Petracca falls now. Would have been a clear number 1, not so sure now. Picks 2,3 & 4 can all afford to stockpile him for 2016 so I don't see him getting past 4. Fitzy will certainly take him at pick 5. TOP 15 1. Lovely Banks - A. Brayshaw (would have been Petracca before his ACL) 2. Iron Knob - I. Heeney 3. Darraweit - C. Petracca 4. Waikickamoocow - J. De Goey 5. Venus Bay - J. Crisp 6. Mt. Beauty - S.Martin 7. Lovely Banks - P. McCartin 8. Nunawading - P.Wright 9. Marble Bar - N.Cockatoo 10. Gundagai - D.Moore 11. Gundagai - L.Weller 12. Charlie's Opening - L.Duggan 13. Cradle Mountain - J.Pickett 14. Wagga Wagga - P.Ahern 15. Larrakin Lagoon - J.McGovern We'll see how badly I do...probably about the same as I go with premiership odds. Interesting list, watching the other 2 leagues draft has been informative for me as well, gives some insight into other peoples view of value and need and illustrates where mine differ. Here is my go at a phantom Round 1, this purely what I would pick for that team if asked to mind it for that pick. Obviously also on current draft pool, some team needs may force a delist pickup in R1 Be at me
Nice assessment Len. No secret that I don't have a lot of patience for GWS kids, so no doubt i'll be tormented come 11 and 17. Coin toss likely. <p ></br> Tough call is an understatement re McKenzie at 3. Surely Chris is the only one that has this kid on a watch list. <p ></br> Jimmy Stewart at 9 anyone?

Fair to say the types are probably more correct than the names.. Not sure on the GWS guys myself, no cheap games for recruits any longer so the ones that play will be good, I've lowered my number of giants from 10 to 7 so one nibble wouldn't kill me but I am hoping to diversify a bit more lol
Reece McK was, and still is, on the Cow's watch list grav. I was hoping that he would slip through to the mid 50's, but now .....
graeme wrote: Reece McK was, and still is, on the Cow's watch list grav. I was hoping that he would slip through to the mid 50's, but now ..... From what I've seen of Reece McK - still a looong ways to go in terms of making a go of things. I like what I have seen and he is a really good size but he is a long way away and behind quite a few guys who themselves are not old at all. Will take a lot of work from him or a lot of injuries to get a look in over the coming 12-18 months. Not ruling it out but a ways away. All my lines need a bit of work and I'm about *this* close to opening up the trading block entirely and starting a semi-re build. My mids are younger but thin - depth a concern. My backline after the delistments is most like to be quite thin, and my forwards, while my best line, will need replenishing soon. That said, Walters, Hunter, Vickery even Betts aren't exactly senior citizens, and Goddard and Cooney should get a few opportunities and Essendon this year. I still haven't decided where I'm going with Pick 3 - I have 3-4 names depending on what the situation is, but still quite unsure.
With only a few days to go, figured I'd try another Draft Preview: 1. Lilacs - Heeney, no question 2. Iron Knob - Brayshaw, would have gone Petracca 3. Darraweit - Petracca, has to go here but the injury see's Chris trying to auction off this pick 4. Waik - McGovern stud F/D, has to take him. he's my fave player in this draft. 5. Venus Bay - Stef Martin most likely, could go Paddy McCartin. Stef helps now though immensely. 6. Mt Beauty - McCartin, stud Fwd to build around for years to come. 7. Lilacs - Best avail- DeGoey / Pickett / Steele - tough call 8. Nuffers - Ruck....Holmes over O'Brien over Durdin, Goddard outside chance 9. Marble Bar - Would have liked to have seen Ahern/Marchbank so now takes Pickett or Steele who will both bestuds. 10. Hoppers - DeGoey for sure if avail, then Pickett/Steele; if not avail need Def so Goddard easily over Darcy over Marchbank. Draft Bolters (have definitely moved up) Mitch Clark....could easily go in the top 10 for those looking to win now, Heeney wasn't consensus #1 but should be. Draft Whispers(have put their hand up for long term gain & could sneek into the 1st Rd) In no particular order - Langford, Lamb, Daniel, Taberner, Cockatoo, Crisp, Wigg, Duggan, Vandenberg, Lambert, Miller, Garlett, Turner, Weller. Draft Free Agents (the win now guys) I'm not going to name them, but after Stef Martin & McGovern there are at least 10-12 more Free Agents that could quite easily go anywhere in thefirst 30 picks - with at least 4-6 going top 15 easily. Draft Ruck questions (how to value) Stef is easily the best & we have kids like Wright, Moore, Cox that will take 1-2 years; But we didn't see this coming - hands firmly up with this pre season are Durdin from the Kanga's, O Brien from Adelaide & Jason Holmes Stk who will all play this year & could throw the first 10-15 picks completely upin the air with such low ruck stocks.
Likely delistees for Packers.... swing over a draft pick to secure a player. <table cellspacing='0' cellpadding='0' dir='ltr' border='1' style='border: 1px solid #cccccc;] <col width='139[/img] <tr style='height: 20px;] <td data-sheets-value='[null,2,'John Butcher']' style='padding-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; text-align: left;]John Butcher <tr style='height: 20px;] <td data-sheets-value='[null,2,'Taylor Garner']' style='color: #000000; padding-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; text-align: left;]Taylor Garner <tr style='height: 20px;] <td data-sheets-value='[null,2,'Rhys Stanley']' style='color: #000000; padding-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; text-align: left;]Rhys Stanley <tr style='height: 20px;] <td data-sheets-value='[null,2,'Troy Chaplin']' style='color: #000000; padding-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; text-align: left;]Troy Chaplin <tr style='height: 20px;] <td data-sheets-value='[null,2,'Alex Woodward']' style='color: #000000; padding-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; text-align: left;]Alex Woodward
Very nice work sNoZ. I especially like the way you save us all from having to think about our picks. Perhaps you and CR could present the first four or five rounds and then we would not need a draft? BTW, reckon Heeney could slip through to pick #4 - NAB games are a notoriously poor guide to real season form.
Marble Bars intended delists are; Dean Terlich - Melbourne Def Josh Bruce - St Kilda Def Happy to entertain any offer of a pick for either, otherwise you will next see them in FA pool.
Ok, I'll probably delist 4 or 5 of the following: [span style='letter-spacing: 0px;]justin clarke [span style='letter-spacing: 0px;]matt watson [span style='letter-spacing: 0px;]luke russell [span style='letter-spacing: 0px;]kane mitchell [span style='letter-spacing: 0px;]jordan roughead A pick in the top 55 of PSD, or 1st 2 rounds of the MSD would secure any one of them.
Lefties likely delists: S Lloyd (up for auction til Wed 5pm, for a top 50 pick) M Golby N Robertson J Grant R Schoenmakers A top 60 pick will snare one of these lads (except Lloyd)
