    As with all years, the pre-season work has been done, final tweaks as the teams are announced will happen (of course) and we all start on zero points.
    [span style='font-size: 14px; background-color: #ffffff;]With all the excitement of ASADA wrapping up in a nice little package, it fills me with much happiness to be rolling into another footy season! Seriously, this saga has striped the joy out of the last few years, so it will be nice to roll into a season, excited about what might be.
    [span style='font-size: 14px; background-color: #ffffff;]We'll get the teams posted in this thread as they come out.
    (That said, I'll be heading off camping tomorrow night for the Easter weekend, so I hope that my phone is up to the task! :D If anyone wants to update said teams into the post as they are confirmed, I'd appreciate it!)

      I will be holding tight on the trades this round, but always like to think up trade scenario's

      I was concerned with picking Rich given the impact Beams may have, and also wanted to see if Rockliff would still pump out scores as he did last season. Given Rocky is now out for 6-7, and Rich's score on the weekend I'm pretty keen on him. I was also very close to picking Bontompelli, but also wanted to wait and see. On the other side of the coin is the drop in ruck scores, so I came up with the following scenario:

      Out: Goldstein, Cripps
      In: Bontompelli, Rich
      (Bellchambers to RCK)

      I would love to see an article on ruck scores across the 9 games and an analysis of whether teams are going to need to break the golden rule of not trading out premos.

      FWIW I can see Bontompelli averaging 90, Rich 85, Cripps 75 and Goldstein 100 which would mean you break even on points, presumably lose your F/R mpp cover and are 2 trades down already. Not ideal if you also believe Bellchambers and Rich are injury prone. Havent thought through the $$$ earned under this scenario but it seems to be possibly going from GNR to Midpriced Madness even assuming Bont is a F4/F5/F6 keeper.

      some solid scores in the TS Group, average scores across my TS leagues are just over 2000, and most years I am happy if I break that figure.

      I fell short but I hope to gain ground by Round 5 or 6.

      No doubt we will be climbing the rankings each week - hopefully coaches from the other Divisions will let us know how they are doing and hopefully provide some good natured banter as the season gets going.

      Go Div 4! Very keen to create some chat between the leagues, will probably open up a league progress blog every 5 or so weeks. At this rate, I reckon all the leagues are looking very strong. Wouldn't it be great to have a couple pushing for that first place by the end of the year!

      Great work by the Div 6 boys! It took us a while to fill a league, but when we did it was a damn good one (atleast based on the data available!)

      The Eagles league is killing it this year (again, based on available data), with 37,121 points and an overall 8th place!!!

      Other notables are he TS Donuts are at 423, with 36,327 points, and a couple of the champs leagues at 77th and 151st.

      A disappointing 2048 to start. Many premiums letting the team down but rookies weren't too bad apart from Oxley, miller and ahmed saad who luckily were all on the bench otherwise would have been disasterous!

      Will try not to trade next week unless I know there will be two next week before price changes. Who is this McGrath from Brisbane? Scored a 70 as a forward and is cheap, didn't really hear his name mentioned

      Not an article, but from my scribbles on a scrappy bit of paper, 8 rucks scored between 90 and 100, with very little benefit for the (big) premium price paid for the likes of Mummy and Goldy.

      Its not so much the $ spent, but the return in average points for extra $ spent that gets my attention, and I'm thinking its looking decidedly questionable in the Rucks line.

      Bellchambers did OK, but there were 114 HOs in that game, and he won't play in those conditions every week.

      I can't see why they would, but is there any chance CD changes their scoring system partway through a season?
