Intriguing game at Mill Park, with the undermanned Bulls putting up a solid effort against the Whalers. The karma bus caught up with the Whalers creativeteam sheet antics with Rowe's late out resulting in a zero. Bulls 742 / 10 / 74.2 trail Whalers 1021 / 13 / 78.5 All to play for on SUnday
It's been one-way traffic at Flying Fish Cove Park, with the Smugglers holding a comfortable lead over the Gropers 1045/12(87) to 890/13(68.5). Injuries and substitutions have cruelled Southern Cross' scores, with mid Dom Sheed the only Groper to crack the ton to date. Cyril provided some spark up front and ex-Smuggler Jake Stringer has kicked three against his old team, but 6 scores of 61 or less have left SC in a tough position. For the Smugglers new recruit Michael Rischitelli has been outstanding, looking likely to get amongst the BAFFU votes on debut with an sensational137. However, as they say in the classics it's not over til the fat lady sings, and SC have the highest scoring player in the game, Mr Nathan Fyfe, still to take the field. He might have to do the impossible here though as he and Hurley have to out point Heppell, Redden, Webster and make up the current 155 point deficit.
Fricken wow! Anyone that doubted the Southern Cross injury curse must now surely believe. New recruit Jordan Roughead has jarred his back little more than 5 minutes into his first game for the club!!! This game can be so cruel sometimes.
The Monarchs have returned from the byes in strong form with consistent scores across the field giving them a final total of 1451. The visiting Crocs went into the match undermanned again which was made worse by a late withdrawal. Scully has battled hard for the visitors with a 101 as they've struggled to 11/605/55.
Wow, our match up this week will have 3 BOG's all over 150 I reckon. It's gonna be 2 massive scores and and a very close finish... Looking forward to a score count Yad!
The Prospectors are finished for round 14, with a well below-average score of 1087 / 15 / 72.5 With only 14 scoring players, three tons, and 6 failing to break 60, we were never really in the hunt. The visitors are still running around, with Adcock, Beams, and Barlow still to come. With 985 / 12 / 82.1 it will take an absolute miracle for the Parasites to lose it from here!
In a match marred by controversy, not even late changing of squads or cats/crows shenanigans could stop the marauding Armadillos from chalking up their 7th win of the season. First gamer Brayden Maynard got to raise the bat with a half century and couldve been the difference across the weekend with 1275 scored by the home team and 1244 with a large asterisk for the Vikings. Notable mentions go to Jack Steven, Shane Edwards and Liam Picken

Great close game, sorry about the late changes.
Too Serious has cancelled round 14 From Home page - Phil Walsh man. Gut wrenching stuff. Don't know what else to say. EDIT: Geelong / Adelaide game is cancelled. Points are split 2 each
Sorry coaches I got the wrong end of the stick with Walesly's home page post. Our decision to use averages and play on is OK. Walesy will upload the scores this afternoon so we can see scores and ladder position based on that. Once again coaches sorry for the confusion.

Unfortunately for the Gropers (and those of us that left the C on him instead of taking Goldy's VC score)Mr Fyfe couldn't do the impossible, finishing with a meagre 89 points. This meant that the Smugglers ran out winners 1353 - 1023. Hopefully EE's injury curse lifts soon, in order to give Southern Cross a chance of playing finals. In a classic 8 point game next week, the Gropers are on the road to Hughenden, with both sides needing a win to stay in touch with the 8. The Smugglers are looking to welcome back Harbrow and Tippett next round, as the side slowly recovers from their own injury issues. Witha trip to Gisborne next weekto take on one of League's most improved teams, the Smugglers will need to be at their best. BAFFU 3 - Heppell (144 CIS) 2 - Rischitelli (137 CIS) 1 - Martin (113 CIS)

How's this for a solid on-ball division - Kieren Jack (142) Sam Mitchell (115) Dylan Shiel (106) Callan Ward (102) !! As if that wasn't enough, they were brilliantly supported by Liam Shiels (124) and new recruit Nick Graham (106) off the bench. Final Score Groote Eylandt (Barracudas) 1,583 def Blanchetown (Bunyips) 1,355 Vale Phil Walsh 1960-2015 With the passing of Phil Walsh the Cuda's were inspired by his hard work ethic, his determination and his passion for footy and took that into this week's game. A late out for the home side, Cam Sutcliff and new comer Klye Cheney won't be playing either due to a back complaint. So the defensive line needed to hold strong and they did starting with Firrito pushing his way to 15 possessions in a lock down zone limiting the visitors with possessions. Old dog Murphy once again moved the moved the ball out of the back line and gathered 20 disposals and Burgoyne played an inspired game picking up his 22 touches. The engine room was ticking over in the middle. Ball magnet Hannebery starred though out the game collecting 34 possessions and booting 1 from 25m. He responded to some of his critics that he couldn't sustain his performance thus far for the year. Cunnington was on fire picking up 29 disposals and slotting 2 goals through for good measure. Captain Cotchin was also on fire racking up 33 touches, kicking 2 goals and stood up when needed. Young gun Patty Cripps grabbed 16 disposals before being forced off with an ankle injury early in the last quarter. Nicholls had a day on the Paddock in the giant tap with being the most effective so far this year. Lewis was typically prolific through the midfield and had a massive influence throughout the game in picking up his 36 touches. Lloyd was also on fire jumping on board grabbing his 26 possessions as he ran riot all day. Leading the way for the Cuda's up forward was Jack Darling in his first game back from a foot injury from last year. Darling starred booting 5 big ones for the home in his return to the Paddock. Zorko was on fire with his 22 disposal which were all aimed at the big man in front of goals. Young Cripps of the Jamie variety kicked 2 of the finest goals of the day and grabbed 14 touches as well. Not forgetting Bontempelli who put forward a solid game collecting 18 possessions. Cuda's dominated at every change in an awe inspiring display of Aussie rules footy. It was on from the start, the Bunyips came to play and play hard they did from the guts through Pendlebury. A premium gun that goes bang! His efficiency with the leather is second to none as he racked up 37 possessions. Armitage's star shone brightly as well tallying up 38 disposals and banging through 2 goals in fine form. Whitfield tried to keep up and grabbed 17 touches. Poor Boekhorst only picked up 11 touches for his new club. Down back Laird lead the way, with Geary knocking down 25 disposal and Langdon was solid grabbing 20 possessions trying to contain the rampaging home side. Thompson SD was on struggle street with 14 touches. Jacobs put in a great effort for the strain he was under. Langford had a couple of purple patches but was far too inconsistent with his 18 disposals while Atley joined his team mate on struggle street collecting only 14 touches. Some solid performances in the forward line Gray being on fire racking up 32 disposals and cracking 1 through the big sticks. No goals for Mayne but he was also on fire around the 50m arch. Pearce of the Danyle kind was in fine form booting 2 from miles out however he pulled up sore by the end of the day. Schulz was quite after laying a fierce tackle at the end of the second quarter as he only managed 11 possessions. On any other day the Bunyips would have been clear winners however today belonged to the Barracuda's an inspired win for Walshy. <p >BOG awards 3 Scott Pendlebury (184) 2 David Armitage (159) 1 Jack Darling (146) <table width='712' style='width: 534pt;' border='0' cellspacing='0' cellpadding='0] <col width='84' style='width: 63pt;[/img]<col width='49' style='width: 37pt;[/img]<col width='133' style='width: 100pt;[/img]<col width='64' style='width: 48pt;' span='2[/img]<col width='79' style='width: 59pt;[/img]<col width='64' style='width: 48pt;[/img]<col width='75' style='width: 56pt;[/img] <td class='xl65' style='text-align: left; background-color: transparent; width: 138pt; height: 15pt;border: #f0f0f0;' colspan='2]Groote Eylandt Barracudas <td style='text-align: left; background-color: transparent; width: 37pt;border: #f0f0f0;] <td style='text-align: left; background-color: transparent; width: 100pt;border: #f0f0f0;] <td style='text-align: left; background-color: transparent; width: 48pt;border: #f0f0f0;] <td class='xl65' style='text-align: left; background-color: transparent; width: 107pt;border: #f0f0f0;' colspan='2]Blanchetown Bunyips <td style='text-align: left; background-color: transparent; width: 48pt;border: #f0f0f0;] <td style='text-align: left; background-color: transparent; width: 56pt;border: #f0f0f0;] Cameron Sutcliffe <td align='right' style='text-align: left; background-color: transparent;border: #f0f0f0;]0 Blaine Boekhorst <td align='right' style='text-align: left; background-color: transparent;border: #f0f0f0;]22 Patrick Cripps <td align='right' style='text-align: left; background-color: transparent;border: #f0f0f0;]77 Shaun Atley <td align='right' style='text-align: left; background-color: transparent;border: #f0f0f0;]44 Marcus Bontempelli <td align='right' style='text-align: left; background-color: transparent;border: #f0f0f0;]80 Scott D. Round 14: Coolgardie 1087 got pasted by Pakenham 1235. A terrible outing from the home side, with a well below average performance from the team as a whole, not helped by the fact that neither ruckman was available against the 'might' of the visiting McKernan. Captain JPK was back in form, top scoring for the side, while the Hoff put in another stong performance in his up-and-down career with the Prospectors. Good news out of the backline was Macmillan breaking the ton... great work son! Everyone else was quite deplorable really, with 6 players failing to break 60 points. Take nothing away from the Parasites though, they weren't spectacular, but they did everything needed of them to come away with a solid win. They too had some terrible performances, with 4 players failing to break 50 points, but this was countered by 5 tons, including the return of Gazza. 124 points for a bloke who's been sitting around playing playstation for the past however-many weeks, is quite an effort. Missy had one of his 'highs' in the up-and-down career that is watching him play, while Big Nick learnt to kick straight (for one week atleast), with a solid 117 leading the Parasites forwardline. All in all there was just too much class across all the lines from the visitors, and even without a missing ruckman, the difference was far too great for the Prospectors to get close! Votes: 3 - JP Kennedy, Coolgardie, 143 2 - G Ablett, Pakenham, 124 1 - J Westhoff, Coolgardie, 121 Next week sees the Prospectors back on the road, heading to Eden to take on the Whalers. Pakenham will keep the bus rolling, this week all the way over to Nuytsland for a match-up against the Vikings. Good luck to all teams! As a permanent mark of respect, the Coolgardie Prospectors would officially like to propose that each Round 14 in the ORFFU henceforth be known as the 'Phil Walsh Memorial Carnival Weekend'. RIP Walshy.
