Veto Cup update...The Sandgropers have been quick out of the blocks with Dogs old boys Swan & Bartel putting in big shifts. The Sandgropers currently lead The Prarie Dogs 13/1148/88 to 5/445/89. There's a long way to go and plenty of stars' scores to add but points on the board are like gold to Southern Cross. This match will be decided when The Hawks take on Freo.

It's the smugglers demolishing the Grenades currently. Consistent team performance from Christmas Island has led to them being 1133/12/94.4 while the Grenades are all over the place and cannot find their pre-bye form at all. GISBORNE are currently 662 points behind the Smugglers sitting at a meager 471/7/67.3. A Herculean effort would be needed to get the Grenades a win, but the only real question at the moment is how much do the Smugglers win by?

Parasites had 7 tons with there captain Ablett leading the scoring with 153 in the middle, Vikings mid season acquisition Picken topped scored with 138 followed by the rest of the defenders all getting 100's. Special mention 1st year player Crouch 99. Really proud of the boys pushing the Parasites achieving our highest score to date 1324 with Greenwood still to debut for the year all is not lost. Looking forward to the AFL dropping vest's next year. Final Score Parasites 1356 def Vikings 1324.

Armadillos def Bunyips 1392 to 1209. After a great start to the season the wheels have come off the Bunyips team bus. Sub standard scores from all the big guns have are causing all types of issues, not to mention the grip on the Big Tap trophy is slipping away!. Huge scores from Max Gawn and Tom McDonald early in the contest really set up what was going to be 1 way traffic. A very solid team effort by the Armidillos... well done!

Round 15 Review <div>Cow Bay Crocs vs Pearcedale Panthers @ The Swamp <div>
<div>From the beginning the Crocs were up against it. Injuries, lack of form and team selection meant that Cow Bay had 14 worthy players to run out onto the field and take on the visiting Panthers. <div>
<div>Although no Cow Bay mids hit the 100 point mark, they held their own against the Pearcedale midfielders. Young Paparone led the way for the home side with his 98 and ex Croc Brandon Ellis shone with 111. Unfortunately late inclusion Farren Ray was the weak link in the middle for the visitors allowing a young Crocs outfit to match the output of the Panthers. <div>
<div>Both rucks were poor on the day, missing tap outs and not doing much around the ground. Dawson Simpson took out the Big Tap points with his 47 point effort eclipsing Lobbe's 22. <div>
<div>The Pearcedale defenders were largely untroubled and were able to help themselves to 426 points between themselves. All bar Brodie Smith managed 100+ point scores for the Panthers with recently returned Curtly Hampton leading the Crocs defence with a top score of 78. The 168 point deficit was the major contributor to the outcome of this match and the defence line continues to cause headaches for Cow Bay. <div>
<div>Up forward, the Crocs led the way largely as a result of Cameron's 125 point effort. However, having one fit player on the interchange negated that advantage. Rhys Palmer was the top scoring forward for Pearcedale with 85 points but 5 forwards in the match couldn't get over the 50 point mark. <div>
    <div>BAFFU Votes: 3 Josh Gibson 131 (Pearcedale); 2 Jeremy Cameron 125 (Cow Bay); 1 Heath Shaw 119 (Pearcedale) <div>

Round 15 - Korumburra Blowflys lost to Groote Eylandt Barracudasby 310 points (1451 v 1141)

Groote Eyland came to Korumburra ready to destroy and showed no mercy posting a huge 1451 (the highest score we have conceded this season). Meanwhile the Blowflys just didn't turn up, posting there lowest score for the season (1141) resulting in a massive 310 point pillaging! We may have to consider renaming the Terrordome after the effort served up on the ravaged ground the last 2 weeks!

The Todd was a lone hand in the middle this week. Goldstein (145) stood tall winning yet another giant tap battle vs a spirited young Nicholls (104). Paul Puopolo (112) never stopped trying up forward. The Blowfly defense, led by Lynden Dunn (91) held up reasonably in the face of an onslaught from the Barracuda midfield and forward line. The likes of Hannebery (148), Cotchin (108), Cunnington (100), Bontempelli (142) and Zorko (124) ran riot across the lush mud of the supposed Terrordome, relishing the conditions in chalking up a humungous victory.

The Barracudas have to be feeling pretty good about their current form with this win making it 4 on the trot to move them into 3rd place on the ladder coming into the business end of the season. Meanwhile some serious questions will be asked at the pub this week as Korumburra post back to back losses at home to slide down to 7th. A major form reversal will be required ASAP if the Blowflys want to play finals this year.

    Votes : 3 - Daniel Hannebery (GEB) 148, 2 - Todd Goldstein (KB) 145, 1 - Marcus Bontempelli (GEB) 142

You'll need to repost the photo mate. I can't see it (and a nice sunny Busso must be better than my office right now - let alone those poor buggers in the sleet.)
