Thanks for the update Mick. Some good scores all around there. No worries Tylo. Good game this one. The pendulum has swung back in the Blowflys favour on the back of a handy 107 from Sam Wright and the Gold Standard's 116. NDS ok with 84 for the Monarchs King Island still have the edge in class but the Blowflys are rising to the occasion! Walker has kicked 4 snags just over half way through his match and looks set for a big score! Tom Bell and Dylan Buckley relatively quiet for the Monarchs...

In a rugged and low scoring elimination final the Bunyips look like they have prevailed by 24 points over the Bulls 1125 - 1101. Match report to follow

A great final this one but in the end the class of the Monarchs has shone through to get the win. King Island came home with a wet sail due largely to a dominant NicNat (137) winning the battle in the middle, repeatedly finding Priddis (122) who in turn delivered to a rampaging Josh J Kennedy (147) who Lynden Dunn (82) was unable to get close to today as he banged home 7 of the best! All in all a solid season for the Blowflys who posted a more than respected score in this one which would've seen them win through against most other potential opposition in this final series. They have to consider themselves unlucky to be on the wrong end of the recent rule change to stop the choice of opponents based on ladder position. Who came up with that one!? I guess KI would've been even unluckier if KB had got over the line in this one. King Island get my tip for the 2015 flag - can't see anyone beating them on current form All the best to all teams remaining in the mix for the flag this year Monarchs1495 / 15 / 99.7
    Blowflys 1359 / 15 / 90.6

After some minor scoring adjustments the Bunyips have prevailed by 18 points. In the end there was nothing in it and in your a glass half empty kinda guy certain Bulls players would have justifiably had the finger pointed at them. Likewise if the result had gone the other way some Bunyips players would be looking the other way as some also went missing when it counted. The Bulls got out to an early lead however this was on weight of numbers not their output. The Bunyips looked to have the contest comfortably in hand before a stop start Sunday where they struggled to hurl in the 304 points required with an extra 5 players to do so. In the end it came down to Carazzo needing 50 odd for victory, it wasn't pretty but he got the job done with a match winning 74. Rocky led all comers from Jacobs & Gray but in this dour encounter no one got off the leash. Well done to Blanchetown as they progress to the Semi Finals.

Deep into the last quarter at King Island and the home side are out on their feet, all finished on a score of 1307. The Bont's move to the midfield has been a master stroke with the young gun scoring 153 to set up a big win for the Cuda's. It's in the hands now of Hannebery, Sutcliffe and Mzungu playing out of position in the ruck, the 3 needing to combine for 169 points for the win.
