Righteo, in the absence of BB, we have the thumbs.

    Or the 1-2-3-4-5 votes.

    Or both!

    Or tea leaves.

Either way we do it, we all have decisions to make.

And if you're like most of us, it's all about Rocky and Barlow.

    And Papley.

Papley is a small forward who has kicked 5 goals in two big wins for Sydney. Can't see him keeping up anywhere near the 100s yet.

Adams however, watching his game last week was playing with such confidence, reading the ball well in flight, intercept marks, and kicking well.

      So, Adams all the way

I think Mills will get to $350K+. I think you should keep him and punt Rockliff. Mills will have a big game at some point which will drive his price up. Rockliff played no pre-season games and was considerably off the pace over the first two rounds. He's missing two more games which will effect his fitness even further. Also, he has a calf which is one of those injuries that can be hard to shake. Even if Rockliff does get back to his best at some point, I don't expect it to be until Round 8 at the earliest. It's a big risk to take just to save a trade.

So Barlow gets another week. Can trade in papley for either mccarthy or mcgovern.

Rocky to either of the below is one for the thumbs. Thanks in advance.

      TU: Parker
      TD: R. Gray

I think dumping Rocky & keeping Mills would be better in the long run. Use the money from Rocky to grab Hall & change De Goey to a better cash producing rookie.
I'm doing something similar - De Goey out for Ben Kennedy & Gresham into Hewett. Leaves me with a bank of around 220K for the first upgrade.

My trade plans I think are a bit risky but looking to ensure I have all cash cows in my team. My main problems are Barlow, Rich and potential non playing rookies like Gresham/Dunkley. Best rookies I don't have are Papley and Parish.

      Barlow - Papley
      Gresham/Dunkley - Parish

I'm well and truly in the Barlow has to go corner. Too risky at his BE to keep with hope of 100+ average for rest of the year, less risky to punt him and at worst bring him back if he turns it around but I don't think he will. Poor record last year and continued this year after all the midfield talk fell on its face so there is too much history of poor form in my opinion.

Problem with my trades is a I lose a premo for a rookie in the sort term but put cash in the bank and hopefully can upgrade a couple of weeks earlier than other to offset this.

I think trades before R3 are all about maximising cash to allow quicker upgrading.

OK have one for the options here guys.....here are my trade scenarios...

      Option 1: Rocky to Parker
Option 2: Rocky to Parker and Barlow to JJ
Option 3: Rocky to Danger and Barlow to JJ
      • Option 3 Option 3 x 11
      • Option 1 Option 1 x 2
      • Option 2 Option 2 x 2

@gummers Your take on Papley seems reasonable, but perhaps the one on Adams seems to miss out that the Bulldogs have also had 2 big wins and hence Adams has had more opportunity for intercept marking than he may get when playing better teams.

More directly, what type of average do you see Adams having by Round 15?

Like most here I have a bit of conundrum, I want to make 3 trades this week but can only do two.

Ok so system can't handle multiple votes from the same user, so pick whichever single option you think is most important for me.

Problems are Rocky, J McGovern (last minute trade-in) and Barlow.
Missed players are Libba, Johannisen and Papley.

So which two out and in?

      :thumbsu: Rocky + McGovern out
      :thumbsd: Rocky + Barlow out
      :1: McGovern + Barlow out
      :2: Libba + Johannisen in
      :3: Libba + Papley in
      :4: Johannisen + Papley in
:5: Do nothing and lament how much my team sucks, yet again.

If Rocky isn't traded out this week he can become Gaz next week as there won't be a drastic price change for either of them but I don't really want to miss any of the 3 trade-in options this week.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, cheers.

Parish - 202k. Will cost 2 trades (1 to bring him in, 1 to downgrade/upgrade later).
I can see him getting to about 350k.
      So, if he makes 150k:
Thumbs up: Worth trading in for cash gen
Thumbs down: Not worth the trades

Depends on who you trade......if you have the cash spare and its say Gresham to Parish then yeah for sure

Absolute dilemmas this week with rocky, gresham, barlow and crouch this week. Trading rocky to libba (jumped on the Hunter bandwagon). Not sure if I should do a second trade or not. Basically have every rookie bar parish. Not sure how much of a must have Parish is given his 202K price. Im currently sitting in the hold Barlow corner.

      Do I,

:1: Trade Gresham to Parish , Hold Barlow
:2: Hold Gresham & Trade him for Hartley next week. (Can be done with DPP moves), Hold Barlow
:3: Trade Barlow to Parker, Hold Gresham

I love the Trade plan page.

Need to get un-named players into there, and make it more prominent I reckon.

Make it easier to switch between teams/comps also.

      Options are:
      1. Rocky > Parker (TU)
      Or
      2. Rocky > Merrett (or anyone under 490k), Gresham > Parish (TD)

Alright so considering the Mundy out, and my various trade options, I think this is my best bet.

      Barlow > Papley
      McGovern > Johannisen

That means next week I can afford (on current price calcs) to go
      Rocky > Libba
      Petracca/Gresham > Gaz.

      :thumbsu: Go for it
      :thumbsd: Re-think the options

      Thanks!

I've been pretty lucky with rookies, but I don't have great hopes for Barlow, even if Mundy is out this week it is just delaying the inevitable. So I'm giving Barlow the boot (in the forward line). . .

      Thumbs up: Zac Merrett
      Thumbs down: Kane Lambert

      Cheers

Don't have high hopes for either of those two guys as overall top 6 forwards this year.
Waite may even make you more $$$ in the short term than those guys, yet also may not make the top 6 for overall amongst FWDs.
