The Dogs have shoot out to an early lead at Pakenham Waite continuing his good form leads the way on the park with Gaff contributing well for the home side Parasites sit at 341 from 4 whilst the dogs are 691 from 9. With all to play it looks like being another tight finish
Breaking news from Christmas Island, where a group of Syrian refugees have asked to be returned home to the ISIS/maniacal dictator run, war-torn country after watching the first half of the Smugglers/Prospectors game at Flying Fish Cove Park. A spokesman for the UNHCR stated that they would be investigating the first half, and looking to have the game added as a crime against humanity. "I've seen some truly horrible things in my life, but I'm not sure if anything matches the performances of Trent McKenzie (43) and Justin Westhoff (28) in that game." The spokesman then became inconsolable after being told that the Smugglers gave up a first round pick for McKenzie. The teams go to the sheds after a deplorable showing, with the Prospectors leading 647/9 (71.88) to 578/8 (72.25). Least worst for Coolgardie is the midfield duo of Wines (128) and JPK (101). Rischitelli has been the only shining light for the Smugglers with 102. Unfortunately for myself and @JPK there's still a half of this monstrosity to play out.
That's classic @DamoH, that's absolutely classic! McKenzie and Westhoff, what a joke! Who'd rate those two players anyway? An average player scores ~75 points per game, so we're both below average at half time. I think we need more than the UN to help out here. What we need is a well guided US airstrike. The problem is that they'd probably hit the bloody carpark and not the ground! Is it tempting fate to say: "surely it can't get worse"?
I'd love to go to the sheds with either these scores..... The teams go to the sheds after a deplorable showing, with the Prospectors leading 647/9 (71.88) to 578/8 (72.25). Instead the Barcrawlers have come crashing back to earth with 9/526 (58.44av) and that's with Selwood's 144......... and I'm not going to tempt fate.....
With no one else taking the field tonight @choppers visiting Barcrawlers (13/843/64.8) face the impossible task of scoring 396 points with 2 players left. The home town Sandgropers (14/1238/88.4) have hit the showers safe in the knowledge that with even a man down they have secured the win.
Vikings 1041/13/80.07 Whalers 919/12/82.5 Game is going to go down to the wire Grundy v Leuy Greenwood v Fasolo & Crisp
It what has been a good contest out at Paky sees the home side holding the advantage heading into the last portion of the game. Quality performances from Simo 129, Barlow 128, and the ageing great Rooey 125 have Pakenham in a great spot. The Dogs have had solid performances but nothing exceptional from there stars, Kerridge 115 and Waite 103 lead the way but without any one else really firing a bullet the dogs have been left with no bark. Pakenham have Sidebum, BJ and Dempsey still to play and should run out winners if they perform well, the dogs have Langford oop still to come and would be hoping for him to go large. Progress scores Pakenham 1042 after 12 Hughenden 1146 after 14. As we all know anything can happen in this funny game so nothing is out of the question just yet.
Grenades 1080/14/77.14 with Ambrose left to play appear to have lost to the Bulls 1144/14/81.7 with just Bird left to play. @tyze1 will be happy with how his men have played, while for the Grenades too many low scores below 50 have cost them the match. Only an Ambrose 120 and Bird >50 will save the home team now
I was a little confused to. I copied your team to write down scores but when I went to check which smith you had in your backline your team was different , missing browns 110 could be a tragic mistake Sent from my GT-N7105T using Tapatalk
I wasn't even trying to cheat either... if Brown scored 40 and Crisp 110, I would have complained just as much
Wouldn't your posted team override your TS Leagues side? As long as you posted before lock out you'd expect this to be the case.
Amazingly it hasn't gotten worse @jpk, in fact there's been a slight improvement from both squads. The Smugglers have made a couple of controversial coaching decisions which leave this match in the balance - firstly they decided to bench their best player in Deledio, confident that Menzel's 89 would be adequate. Secondly, in a move not often seen, the full Smugglers squad have left the field and set up a zone defence around the bar in the clubhouse. This confused the visiting Prospectors so much, that 13 of their players are also at the bar, trying to break through the zone and score some sweet, sweet rum. The end result of all this craziness is that 2 Prospectors, Baguley and Fantasia, remain on the field, looking to score 141 between them to see Coolgardie home. Given the total average of these two is 173, things are looking good for the visitors.
Gonna be tough for GG given Ambrose isn't playing! Having said that neither are his team mates. Dons horrible in the first
@HOLKY with half a game to go whalers down by 23 points, with grundy and greenwood gone missing Vikings with arms on heads in disbelief
