hey folks, those of you keeping track of players for keeper leagues, or preferring to pick mature age rookies should be aware of an update today of the TS player database with dob's for 2016 draftees now added so that their ages can be calculated, rather than being blank up until today

this is a link to all players under 200k sorted from youngest to oldest

      http://tooserious.net/forum/stats.p...lary=200000&tsLeagueTeamId=&sort=age&desc=asc

      cheers TTH

Cheers. Yeah was enquiring on Cogs absence not cos I wanted to pick him but the potential benefit to Kelly.
Feel like Taranto will be a slow burn to $150k profit if he's in and out. Tempted more by Turner and WHE at that high end price.
JS vs output will be a major factor to juggle with rooks.

Just created this excel spreadsheet. Its evolved over the jlt series, now complete and I'm posting it here to help everyone. Have a look let me know what you think. It ends up giving value of dollar per point if players average was to average 100 min game time. For e=xample is a player averaged 30 point in 50 mins their avregae would be 60. You can now compare value dollar per point averaged over an even time on ground spread. If you are wanting you can filter the data to suit what you are looking for. Hope it works. Hope it helps. I think it shows me that Jack Steel and J.Kelly are must haves. If you take pre season form on board. Hibberd , Vickers in backline not so vital etc . Keep it as a tool as its not the bible but some interesting breakdowns to help see thru the fog or help with indecisions perhaps....Good luck everyone.

Mate fantastic work - me and others will no doubt check this about a 100 times each in the next week or so.

Just my 10 cents for any player over $200k I wouldn't be picking them based on their outstanding JLT form, this would include Steele and Kelly, refer to Jack Watts and Harry Lumumba in past seasons.

I would be picking these players based on calculating what they would need to average to be a good pick (as a stepping stone or keeper), whether or not I think they can average that number and what other players around the similar price range (or cheaper) are likely to do in comparison.

Looking at that has me really worried about Ottens job security. most of the players 1 week away put his spot in jeopardy

      @benny01,

I have read that Otten is competing with Kelly (not listed) more so than the 4 listed to comeback, if he starts and fires straight away then he should hopefully be good for 6-8 weeks.

Yeah I am holding him for now but my confidence in him now has this itch.
Hopefully it's all good. Most of the best sides will likely have him on field anyway

I know it's SEN and they're not usually right but they don't even have him in their 25.
I think he'll play round 1 I just think his spot in the side is far from secure.

Please note: Players that are currently sidelined due to injury – such as West Coast's Nic Naitanui and GWS recruit Brett Deledio – have been included, but those already ruled out for the year, like Gold Coast's Sam Day, haven't been considered.

ie Sloane, B Crouch and Thompson all included in the "best 22".

It would be worth checking which "rookies" are in the best 22 on both sites and which are in one but not the other.
