Staghorn Flat & @ddsaints Pakenham have done a deal Taylor Duryea moves to Pakenham whilst Darcy Lang heads to Staghorn Flat both clubs hopeful that these two fringe players can make an impact with their new clubs.
and that Hooker finds a new P.I.M.P! Coolgardie sends Cale Hooker and their 3rd round PSD pick to Korumburra in exchange for the Blowflys 1st round PSD pick
The Barracudas & Prairie Dogs have come to terms in a pick swap. Barracudas send PSD R5 to the Prairie Dogs @Batfink for their MSD R2
My best trading period imo, I didn't over trade this to time. And the trade I did greatly boosted my draft.
In a definite move for the now the Serengeti management team have made the call that the club has waited long enough for success and pulled the pin on drafting strategies to come to terms on a deal with @JPK and the Coolgardie team. The trade sees Serengeti send PSD R1, PSD R2, James Aish, and Harry Perryman in exchange for Shane Mumford and Josh P Kennedy Despite the questionable decision of Serengeti management to be away from the club right in the middle of the season the clubs supporters are happy that at least one deal was able to be wrapped up and are looking forward to a competitive run home for season 2017. Big thanks to the Coolgardie team for putting up with time zone differences and delays to get the deal done
Trade confirmed. While we're sad to see sentimental favourite, our very first pick, and still the bloke with the best initials in the AFL, Josh P Kennedy, leave the club, along with coin-toss first choice ruckman Shane Mumford, after a lot of thought, the opportunity was just too good. The Prospectors might make finals this year, but we were never a serious contender for the flag. This trade period now gives us 3 PSD R1 picks and 2 PSD R2 picks next year, which should be more than enough to get some excellent young players in, and give us a real shot at flags from about 2019 or 2020 onwards. This logic also saw the drafting of Jack Fitzpatrick, who will hopefully be hitting his straps in 3 years time. Thanks to @wrightbrendan and Serengeti for their patience with me. It was a big decision, and time-zones aside, it took a while of procrastination and consideration to decide on a new path forward for the club (partly looking at the model used by Nuytsland). While 2017 might now be pretty much shot, we're happily looking to the future and some success coming our way quickly.
Oh, and I suppose we must welcome James Aish and Harry Perryman to the team - and hope that in around 2-3 years time they're superstars of their respective sides, scoring 100ppg, and stalwarts for a decade!
Its seems like a poor strategy choice doesn't it? Just look at how @bryzza has been performing... I don't know why I'd even consider it a viable option.
