@That KI Guy This is a bid for Wallis...

@ViQBoZ I'll up my bid to PSD pick 43 and MSD round 1 (remember I finished 2nd last last season, so that MSD pick could be quite a special one ;)

@ViQBoZ final offer for Wallis. Pick 19 and second round MSD. Remember I was third last so that's two picks inside top 20 potentially.

Ant's best PSD pick is 43 so surely he is either going to drop out or find it hard to beat Pick 19 PSD and Pick 17-32 MSD.

It will be interesting to see if any other bidders come in now.

I was considering offering a young player and a pick, but yeah, given viqboz has stated 2 picks is preference, im most likely out of the running...

Picks is the preference but I will certainly look at youth players as well.

    Fyfe is quite young ;)

Just to clarify - can pick 16 be bid if the Boozers has agreed to trade it in from Cockburn, but the veto period hasn't passed yet ??

I have always worked off the idea that it can't - ie the goods being traded arrive in 2 days after agreement has been reached - not immediately.

Hmmm that is a good point, it's probably invalid as the auction ends before the veto period ends? I should have picked that up.

thats disappointing if that's the case. I thought it was two days before trade was finalised but never saw anything that said you couldn't on trade before veto passed. Unless I missed something

Looking at the rules there is no specific language around this, but unless you can get 13 teams to approve the trade so it cannot be vetoed, I would suggest the complications around deadlines would stop you from on trading that pick straight away.

So wouldn't we proceed and if the trade is vetoed then the same applies to auction?

but then who wins the auction?

I dont think you can trade something that hasnt passed the veto period. We probably need to clarify that in the rules - just state the trade isnt final until after the 48 hour veto period.
