1/9th time at The Sandpit and it's the home town Sandgropers 196/2/98 leading @TigersTooTough 's undermanned Panthers 149/2/75. The locals were surprised to see the undermanned team arrive but are seeing this as a great opportunity to even the ledger with Pearcedale.

Update from The Sandpit; the Sandgropers remain on 196/2/98 while @TigersTooTough visiting Panthers have pulled away to 362/5/72. Long way to go in this one.

A great weekend camping in coastal Busselton just got even better with WCE storming home to beat the Saints! What is it they say...good teams find a way to win even when they're playing badly; I just hope they play better next week and don't leave it until the last quarter to turn up!!!

In ORFFU NEWS it's 6/9th time at the Sandpit and @TigersTooTough 's visiting Panthers 764/12/64 are narrowly in front of the hometown Sandgropers 732/9/81. With Pearcedale's team selection leaving only two left to play it would appear the Sandgropers have this one in the bag.

The Smugglers and Blowflies @Mick are playing out a close fought match at Flying Fish Cove Park, with the visitors leading 844/10 (84.4) to 763/9 (84.7).

With scores this close the game is likely to come down to an individual effort, and looking at the remaining players this makes the Blowflies favourites, with big Goldy about to start rucking.

Down in Gisborne the Grenades are in all sorts of trouble, struggling along at 716/11/65, while @insider's Armadillos are trailing but well ahead in reality, 704/9/78.

The only bright lights in this currently dour game were the tons from Treloar and Dalhaus for Ararat, and a POOYA effort from Grenades big man Witts (100)

    Score update from Pakenham.
The visiting team is in a strong position. Buffalos 914 with Dangers, Dixon and Polec to come
Pakenham are struggling after such a good performance in the first week. 793 with Simpson, Ruggles, Hogan and Blicavs to come.
It could be an exciting finish if Pakenham could post some good scores to finish.

Plenty of drama at Xmas Island - with late outs and emergencies aplenty.

In the final wash-up though the visitors have taken the 4 points, getting up by 23.

    Full match report to come.
