Im not against Wines and i did look at him but what happened in rounds 6-8? 56, 70, 86 I believe... don't really trust any of Ebert, Wines or Walesys man Gray as theres just no consistency there

Round 6 I think you will find that the playing as stand in captain weighed heavily on him (plus Brissy was garbage in the guts and plenty of other Port mids were winning the ball).
Round 7 against the Eagles was a tough one for Ollie - I expected him to thrive but that didn't eventuate.
Round 8 Suns were garbage like Brissy 2 weeks before and it allowed other Port mids to rotate through more often and win more of the ball.

One thing to note from those 3 games though was the performances of Ebert who has been the most consistent mid in the Port line-up, even when he is performing tagging roles he still finds his share of the footy (plus lays a stack of tackles which help his score).

Not bad considering he's predominately playing fwd this year - doesn't need to get alot of touches to rack up a ton

could turn Hoskin Elliott into Ebert and move greenwood to forwards I suppose... who do you see as being most consistent from here on out @Bearfly

That assumes you're copping a donut in Round 12 when Selwood has a bye but as only four teams have the bye, I suspect most people will be able to field 18, if not more, and then their 18th best player only needs to score reasonably for it to be about even.

Looks to be a few coaches with similar decisions on their hands so I'll take this one to the polls....

I just ended up doing a semi-impulse trade that I may reverse pending teams!!
Had already traded Greenwood in earlier but just did Will Hoskin Elliott to Shai Bolton and Myers to Sloane.
Sloane's break even and Myers flop led me to a money-timing decision and Bolton gives me a M/F back into the mids for flexibility and on-purpose :donut: material later if he gets dropped.
In the end I guess I backed in Barrett's cash generation in weeks to come and Sloane having finished bottoming out to be fait accompli
Then again, im the one ranked in the 11,000's and all you lot are significantly lower so maybe I should listen??? what fun would that be though

He clearly has ability to go large, but i worry about his role this year. Him and Wingard cannot be trusted for consistency this year i dont reckon. Especially so for Gray when Wingard comes back.
In saying that, he could end up turning it on for the rest of the season! But too risky this yeah i think.

Looks like I'll be copping a donut this week, even after all my planning, but should be fine for the rest of the byes.

Down to 16 trades after 3 this week and 5 upgrades left to do.

I didnt end up bringing in Ducky, and chose his bro instead, so these numbers are now 14, 15, 14.
And that is considering Sandi, Witts & Heeney as premiums.

Can somebody please help me with a 2017 definition of a premium - because my 500K plus players seem to have come from a yo-yo shop!!

well i am in a world of pain with my side with only 14 playing and even 3 trades leave me 1 short! I was looking at moving Marchbank on to Harbrow and Finally Balic to Greenwood leaving somecash (240k) to upgrade in latter byes and post bye rounds.

TU - do those 2 trades play with 16
TD - Your going to be short either way take the loss hold your trades, trade your way next week

Have 18 this week (if Sandi plays!)

One last downgrade this week to have a backup player, with the joys of DPP can move Balic to
      TU - Scharenberg
      TD - Bolton
      1 - Perrryman

      2017 premium = Anyone not a rookie
*note: rookies have the chance of turning themselves into a premium should they desire (a la Nic Newman)
