With a game on tonight, it's going to be a bit of a scramble for anyone needing to make a trade.

Biggest question I need to ask myself is the $213k question. To WHE, or not to WHE.

I wasn't a fan all preseason, and maybe should back my gut, but it was a great score for the lad.

Alternatively, can always hold another week, no need to do anything rash just yet.

My main conundrum this week is the captaincy.....Pendles into Danger or Danger into Fyfe

      one for the thumbs

UP - Taranto (GWS) & Turner (Nth) ---> Nankervis (Rich) & Butler (Rich)
      DOWN - Wait a week

Trading this week gives me trades to utilise next week. Trading now already chews up 2 trades! (and I burn through them quickly every year!)

I should have went for the thumb poll myself....VC loophole options

I don't hate it, cause early days, those two are looking like big misses - BUT- it is only early days, and the amount of times I've seen similar early trades go pear shaped is huge

I'd wait for teams ... tossing up whether to pull the trigger on Taranto myself and bring in McGrath, but will be waiting for the gap between teams and bouncedown to make the final call. I think that's a reasonably solid call though!

looks VERY sideways there mate, if their scores had been reversed last week (or are reversed this week) would you be making this trade ?

Thinking of JS moving forward and the roles they're playing more than anything else... you make a very good point though, certainly others worth considering.

Obviously wait until selection to see how many rookies get dropped but my gut feel for most teams is 2 or 3 corrections in the next fortnight is likely to be better than 4 corrections. Depending on who else you want to get in (Hannan, Mcgrath ??) I would consider tonight's game as a chance to see if Butler, Nank and WHE can back up.

Hence wait until after tonight's game and then trade in Hannan or McGrath etc on Friday/Saturday if you still feel that the Pies/Tiges players are must gets.

Butler, Nank and WHE are the 3 im looking at. Nank is definately coming in, but cant work it cash wise without the 2nd trade.

Can turn Joel Smith into anyone under 280k, with full DPP. Gimme some thumbs
      1) Marchbank
      2) Petrevski-Seton
      3) Hoskin-Elliott
      4) Butler
      5) Hannan

THUMBS UP to wait until next week to decide (although that limits me to only 1 other correction trade next week before the price changes)

EDIT: this player will almost certainly be on the field best 22

Not considering McGrath ? Or do you have him already ?
I'm surprised the thumbs on my post are so far in favour of Marchbank, I'd love to know people's reasoning

The above poll is basically Marchbank vs McGrath and its currently a landslide Marchbank victory.

Didn't trade yet, was leaning towards Marchbank myself also since it lets me keep my DPP setup. This also gives me the opportunity to see finals teams, and even potentially loophole Otten's EMG score. WHE did look good, depending on how Taranto goes this week there may be a sideways there.
