Welcome Everybody to the 2017 Trading Games league!

    What's it all about?
Basically every year some of the leaders in the community gather together and choose the players picked in a team we all start with. The players in every team in the group start the same before the round 1 lockout. Then, as the year progresses, and trades are made, the challenge becomes finishing on top of the group with the most points overall. That's it; just use your trades and your emergency/captain picks wisely, and turn the team we all start with into a winning team by scoring the most points.

    Rules:

    1. EVERYBODY must start with the exact same 30 players. No exceptions.

    2. You don't use your main team, we would prefer if you 'invited' your daughter, wife, grandfather etc to create a team that you help to manage throughout the year. Don't join this league if you don't want to follow rule 1.

    3. Like always, let's have fun and keep positive. Banter is expected and welcomed! Anyway, the whole thing is up in the air for discussion as always. What are your thoughts to make it interesting again this year?

    How to Join?

Step 1: Sign up to the Trading Games group
    (url deleted)

Step 2: Makes sure you have the correct team entered! The correct team is shown here just below.

Step 3: Choose your captain/vice captain and any emergencies. You could get the jump on the rest of the field with some astute choices even with an identical 30-man squad.

Step 4: If you wish, you can use DPP to rearrange the 30 players before the start of R!. Just don't change the squad of 30.

Good luck everybody and happy trading!

Time to tidy up the TS Trading Games Group

The following teams have been removed as they had the incorrect starting lineup:

      Micksdemons
      bertnernie
      JinglesRock
      Indi Bears
      nottooaverage
      winners
      JanLikesTheDockers
      superbowlchamps

I have also removed my non-Trading Games team.

Thought I did everything right this week then found out forgot to set emergencies and copped Swallow''s doughnut.
      Let the trading begin.

Swallow will be an interesting one in this format, do you hold em or fold em, need to check how bad the ankle was as I am currently in the hold camp

Change of heart for me, corrected the two picks I disliked the most in the squad.

OUT Roughead ($367,100) IN Steele ($347,100)
OUT Swallow ($280,200) IN Murphy ($432,500)

Both those look good Len, have done the Roughy to Steele one, will prob give Swallow a chance to show what his got. Barring a miracle will be going Taranto to WHE next week. 120 this week to follow up the 88.

I don't know about the rest of you, but the Trading Games team is creaming my "primary" team. I have been thinking about this a bit: Am I complete numpty with my primary team choices or, more likely, has the combined wisdom of all SC players in terms of popularity of each player has statisically come up with a killer team?

If it is the latter, this could be an interesting approach to SC team selection in the future.

Anyhooo, I am really surprised to be on top of the table of the group.

Nice trades by Len last week, great score mate!

      cheers,
      Bill

Mine too mate, 35k ranking points variance..
I think it makes sense in that the most popular would be that for a reason, with some personal variances it makes this a solid team choice to start with. After last year I swore I was starting with the TG team myself this year and then changed my mind, wont make that mistake next year :)

Trading Games team has Stewart on field ahead of Otten by mistake this week, will cost by about 100 points at this stage

Not as bad as my decision to put the C on Gawn.
