Missed lockout I know, but the TSLEAGUES won't let me enter my team. If it's a carry over from last week, that's fine, you'll just nedd to put me down as a loss.

Competition for spots is heating up as we chase our 4th win on the trot and the chance to consolidate a spot in the top 8. Getting close to full strength with only Wallis, Prestia, Stringer & Harmes missing from our best lineup. With Wallis playing strongly in the two's the forwards are on notice that a sub par performance could see them out of the side and with Prestia also likely to return, I'm sure there'll be some mids wanting to show the selectors they're worthy of their place in the team. Go Gropers!
Round 8 - Korumburra Blowflys vs King Island Monarchs Another tough game this week as the Blowflys (10th) are back at home, awaiting the arrival of the boys from Bass Strait, the Monarchs (5th). Strangely it was also a 10th vs 5th place battle that saw the Flys lose to the Bulls last week. After losing 3 straight, the Korumburra faithful are getting restless and will be baying for blood this weekend! King Island are coming off a loss last week, putting an end to a nice winning streak and will be eager to bounce back quickly. This one could go easily go either way but with a lifetime 2-1 record to the Blowflys and some tough selection decisions for both sides there's just a faint whiff of an upset in the air down at the Terrordome... Two changes this week with the selection committee looking to add some extra run through Hartung and some forward 50 tackle pressure (and hopefully some goals!) with the inclusion of Puopolo. Redden makes way in need of a rest and Matt Kennedy likewise pulled up sore after a strong game last week. IN : B. Hartung, P. Puopolo OUT : J. Redden (rested) M. Kennedy (rested) D - S. Docherty, J. Round 8 down in the Crater sees the Buffaloes facing the team they love to admire from afar and early season premiership favourites as they host the Vikings from Nuytsland. Some defensive deficiencies has seen the coach hand a potential debut to draftee Perryman although there are rumours about that management are considering a late change and deploying the more experienced Clay Smith in a new role as rebounding defender. Gleeson is the man to go out as he joins other experienced defenders Tom Langdon, Nick Haynes & Sam Wright on the sidelines. IN: Perryman OUT: Gleeson D: Jarrod Harbrow, Steven May, Jasper Pittard, Harry Perryman (Smith) M: Patrick Dangerfield, Zac Merrett, Josh Kelly, Jack Steven (Aish) R: Billy Longer F: Charlie Dixon, Jack Riewoldt, Joe Daniher, Sam Reid (Matera) I: Jared Polec, Jamie Elliott (McCartin)

Sorry mate - a lot of this issue came from us noticing (late) that the R9 Port-GC byes were going to make the round very uneven, so we shuffled the trailing rounds, and it unbalanced the home-away draw. If the AFL had just moved the regular byes forward by 2 weeks, or pushed this BS China game back by 2 weeks, then we'd all be fine... but noooooo......
