Probably really only came together because my pick was straight after his and no further players could be taken from the pool. I suspect if I’d had pick 20 it may not have happened.

Out of interest, for the non-criminally minded, how could you collude once the draft is underway?

I guess in essence I traded PSD13 & MSD rnd 1 for PSD12. On paper it seems like a high price to pay for a one pick upgrade but in reality Stephenson was just too good an opportunity for me to pass up as he fitted both a needs pick (m/f) and best available. However if you hadn’t taken Clark, then this story would likely have never happened ;)

Just to clarify, it was all as described. I had Stephenson just above Bonar on my list and I actually asked @eagle_eyed opinion on who he thought should go next, just incase I had completely missed someone. Instead of stopping things and making it hard on the Commish, we just agreed to take Bonar next and swap straight after.

My view is that these young players are a bloody lottery and pick 15 could end up being better than pick 1, you just never know.

From my perspective I traded Pendles out for Polec, Bonar and a 1st round MSD pick... not too bad all things considered!

Yeah agree here, I would have taken Clark ahead of them both, so would have been a different outcome all together... surprised you didn't take Mummy when you had the chance... maybe later in the draft ;) ;)

    Hahahaha
I'm hoping Mummy will slide a little further, might be able to pick him up cheaply (but don't mention that to too many people, or they might jump on him ahead of me).

I do agree with the comment about a lot of this being a lottery - even the professionals in the AFL picking players to pay good money for, they get it wrong and give the early picks to players that don't work out, while some later picks really shine! Maybe all three (Clark, Stephenson, Bonar) will be stars, or failures... we'll know in about 2 years time.

That stacks up as a pretty good deal.

Yeah anything can happen in the draft. There’s plenty of players taken outside of the top 10 that end up better than those taken before them.

That's my cue... apart from 2017 where both #1 picks won and Picken in 2015 MSD all the Lucky Find winners were outside the top 10.

Draft order means little; @bryzza taking Seb Ross at pick 70 is a cracker of an example.

Banchang and Blanchetown have come to an agreement that sees Banchang send their 2nd Rd MSD Pick to Blanchetown in exchange for their PSD Pick #34...

Banchang and the Bulls have come up with the following pick swap

    Bulls send MSD R2 & 38 for 37 & 55

Gotta love these swift negotiations by the Mitta Mitta River

Did Blanchetown trade away a pick they weren’t going to use?

Blanchetown traded in Sadd for his 5th and final draft pick, so pick 34 should have been deleted and not available to trade for.......mmmmm

All picks in order are tradable weather or not a club is going to use them. I think most of us didn’t realise that the Bunyips weren’t going to use it and didn’t get in there before choppers.
