.....bugger for @martyg and the boys in Blanchetown, with Sam Naismith gone for the season. Although with a fair lead ruck in Sam Jacobs, there might not be a huge issue for the 'yips. I always hate seeing someone go down with injury. Hopefully for me though, this give the Swans some impetus to play Aliir in the ruck!!!
Someone's misfortune is always someone else's fortune.......With Sam going down, does this give Banchang's Sydney ruck pairing of Sinclair/Cameron a head start. Got it straight from the Horse's mouth, AA will be down back....
Im happy with however the fixture pans out, even if we keep reverse ordering each season still have to play each other at some point.
...and now bugger for me, with news that Orazio has gone in for surgery, and won't play in R1. Hopefully he gets back soon.
Medico reckons it's a 3-4 week recovery time, then would need to get back to match condition I would suspect....
Sorry JPK but it looks like..... SYDNEY hasn't totally ruled out trying to entice Kurt Tippett out of retirement to ease their ruck shortage. But they will give Callum Sinclair and Darcy Cameron first shot at filling the ruck vacancy.
Good to see a lot of new faces in teams! Exciting to monitor people’s list management decisions and drafting strategies! Good luck to all for the season.
Anyone else feel like this season snuck up on them? I have been planning for ages and now my teams (ORFFU+SC) seem to be in a total shambles!!
Anyone heard from @TigersTooTough of late? I’ve looked in the match day thread and he doesn’t have a team selected. I remember he had similar issues at the start of last season. Hopefully he gets a team in tomorrow but he’ll miss out on Ellis, Caddy, Nank & C.Curnow. That’s a few points.
Not acceptable from @TigersTooTough doesnt enter a team to give Bulls a walk over win and % boost, also took an auto pick in the draft and is barely seen in off season to trade with ................ not so serious
Another Pies blow: Defender out for a month - http://m.afl.com.au/news/2018-03-26/another-pies-blow-defender-out-for-a-month Can't take a trick. My injury list is getting bloody long.
Mate, try this: Harry Taylor Tom Williamson Hayden Crozier Brad Crouch Matthew Kennedy Dion Prestia Patrick Ryder 7 of 28 injured and 4 of these took place during round 1. The bolded players were only playing due to injuries to best 15 players (apart from Ryder). 3 of these guys are 1st 15 so that's 20% of by best team unavailable for selection. Not the start I was after this year. But we'll take it one week at a time as it's a marathon not a sprint and our best form is surely just around the corner
So your guys are a fifty-fifty chance of getting up? Does the coach have the full support of the board?
AFL.com.au’s top 10 players under 23 Marcus Bontempelli (Western Bulldogs) Patrick Cripps (Carlton) Josh Kelly (GWS) Jesse Hogan (Melbourne) Isaac Heeney (Sydney) Christian Petracca (Melbourne) Zach Merrett (Essendon) Jake Lever (Melbourne) Matt Crouch (Adelaide) Charlie Curnow (Carlton) Pleased to see three of them are in my team, future is looking bright in Viking Land
