Not meaning to be biased, but genuinely curious how Billings doesn't make this list. Also, how good are Merrett and Kelly going to be given they're still so young!

100% agree, what has curnow done to prove himself so far ? Billings at least raised his game to a new level. A player should not be there on potential alone.

    To all ORFFU coaches,
I wish to advise that I will be leaving for The Philippines next Wednesday night and not returning til the following Tuesday, and will have no access to the internet.
As such I will have to name my team prior to leaving, and well before the AFL clubs name their teams. I will do my best to name the team I think will take the field, but have given @JPK permission to change the 15 if someone isn't named....

    Now you're just showing off...
"Look at me, I'm retired, and can take a quick trip to the Philippines whenever I want"

    Have fun mate.

Can I just say that I reckon we do the reports right each week. Usually entertaining to read and always informative. They don't take too much time to write either, and make sure that lots of us are involved rather than having one report-writer each week. I actually don't mind the often depressing review into how well my team has performed (usually below average) :thumbsu:

Also, if no one is running the BAFFU this year I'm happy to do it and write some reviews throughout the year?

Over to you for BAFFU. I've got way too much going on to jump on as much as I could last year to put nomination and voting threads up like I did.

    Gentlemen,
I am going to be away for the next three weeks of footy (will miss the Freo-hosted derby, but that's ok, as Freo don't think its worth it anyway, with all of the fun they're taking out of it!).
I have handed over Power of Attorney for the mighty Coolgardie Prospectors to @choppers who has informed me that he'll do whatever it takes, including cheating, to get the Prospectors to the top of the table!
    Have fun everyone.

How's @tyze1 's Bulls sitting in 6th on the ladder but ranked third lowest scorer so in line for pick 3 at the MSD . The luck of the draw hey.

Mate, Bulls are decimated by injuries however focussing on a defence first mentality. Fu teams don't like it hard in the contest and have succumbed si far. Having 11 on the park last weekend helps the mid season picks! Not sure we will field too many more this week.

    Gentlemen,

A couple of dates to keep in mind:

Sunday 3 June - AFL Round 11 (ORFFU Round 11) ends.
Monday 4 June - Mid Season Trade Period opens.
Wednesday 20 June - Delistments must be complete (20:00 Melbourne time).
Thursday 21 June - Mid Season Draft Starts (08:00 Melbourne time).
Wednesday 27 June - Mid Season Draft must be complete.
Wednesday 27 June - Mid Season Trade Period closes (22:00 Melbourne time).
Thursday 28 June - AFL Round 15 (ORFFU Round 12) commences (19:20 Melbourne time, partial lockout).

Please note that the mid season draft is not compulsory. Trading will be permitted during the draft, but once the draft commences no team can have more than 28 players on their list. Also remember that we can trade picks for multiple upcoming drafts, so picks available for trade at the 2018 mid season will be: 2018 MSD's, 2019 PSD's, and 2019 MSD's.

Not sure how other coaches feel, but i would prefer initial trade period to be less than the 2 1/2 weeks already allocated. As im sure some of us if not all have started some type of negotiations. Draft won't feel as rushed having a few extra days, then a few extra days to trade for those that may have missed out on a player they were gunning for.
    June 4 - June 11 Trades
    June 12 - June 22 Draft
    June 23 - June 27 trades
    Thoughts ? ........................................
