Fielded 18 - a few under performers some injuries and 3 rookies so pretty happy with 1885 lost 2 of my leagues, Dusty continues to be a concern but I will persevere. Congrats to some big scorers over 2000. Next week Grrrrrr.

Managed to spit out a 2047 for my first decent score in ages. Back inside the top 1000. 18 on the field this week, but some concerns over McLean and JJK

      Thoughts? (It’s a bit Far-Out!)

Doedee > Ahern (via Sicily DPP)
      Martin > Kelly
      Witts > Grundy

14 Trades (Rank 1151) - playing for Pts

Martin back in next week via Holman.

My thoughts were Macrae - Oliver, Brayshaw - Ahern and L.Murphy - McDonald. Leaves 7 trades and 145k. Thoughts

      Currently plans are:
      Doedee > Simpson
      Austin > Hurley

      Then either (pls vote):
      1: L Murphy > Redman
      2: E Phillips > Ahern

An extra playing rookie should help in case of selection shock.

Great trades mate! Should hold you in good stead.
I’ve voted for Ahern, but it’s a coin toss. I think Ahern because of his DPP.

Also will depend on AFL team selections. I’m anxious after what’s been dished up the last two weeks.

Yeah I even made the decision to forego what may have been best overall, to ensure wins in a given week. I took a hit when Port and GC were on the bye, but have then gone 2 for 2 in all but one of my leagues through the byes, including scoring 1943 this week.

However I do wish I'd brought in Ryan. I had it all planned out so this week it was Coffield to Mihocek
      Holman to Ahern
Doedee to McDonald and having $266k in the bank to upgrade someone else next week...
....then Macrae got hurt. If I'd brought in Ryan last week he'd have been relatively cheap and give me a player on field.

Do I now go Macrae to Danger or Oliver and wait for McDonald? McDonald is more likely to rise in value, but then will he stay that high? He can't keep scoring above 110 can he?

Doedee > Ahern (via Sicily DPP)
      Martin (YES Martin) > Kelly
      Holman > McDonald

      Avg 254pts OUT
Avg 294pts IN (with better upswing)
      Calc.Diff: 400+ Pts

      Rnd 14:
      20 on-field
      11 Trades remaining

Ooft, big call. I had been going to drop Martin a few weeks ago, wish I'd just done it. But as I'd already gambled bringing in Zach Merrett and Tom Rockliff and neither worked out I feel I'm going to have to use trades for them already, trading out Martin (and perhaps presumably trading him back in a months time) is too much for me.

Is everyone going in on McDonald? I feel like he can't keep this scoring up, he wasn't going to get that great a score until 2 marks and 2 goals when the result was already decided vs the Pies.

I can’t wait each week for him to turn it around. Could come back in in a few weeks (doubtful). He’s now ranked around 20th for Mids. Something isn’t right there. I’m playing for rank not so much league. GWS are improving and Kelly is fit again. And McDonald is a must.

      Good points.
I've got the Macrae issue to sort just now though, they're saying 4 weeks by the look of it, I can't carry him that long.

12 trades and only $26k, I had wanted to get started with final upgrades:

      Laird / Hurley / Savage
      Lloyd / Doedee / Richards // Coffield / Keeffe

      Macrae / Fyfe / TMitchell / Martin
      Cripps / ZMerrett / Rocklifff / Brayshaw // Phillips / Holman / Higgins

      Gawn / NicNat // English

      Heeney / Gray / Westhoff
      Sicily / Boak / Fritsch // TSmith / Giles-Langdon

      Was planning
      Coffield to MIhocek
      Doedee to McDonald
      Holman to Ahern
That would have given me I think $266k for another upgrade next week (had thought Brayshaw or Phillips to Oliver or Danger)

But I might now need to ditch Higgins this week just to get me 18 on field, and then move Macrae out next week.

I respectfully disagree on both points.

Martin's value has dropped so much that trading him now would cost ~$70k depending on who you choose, and Martin is just as likely to average over the rest of the season the same as Kelly/Neale/Treloar etc.

And McDonald is the top priced fwd/def, you would be buying at peak price. He has no history of playing as a premium and his performance is skewed by one big game. If you have him, well done. But I don't think he's a must have, especially as only 9% of players have him. Plus key forwards are usually up-and-down. Reminds me of Jarrad Waite in early 2016.

Last week I might've said Macrae was a must have, because his scoring was consistently above other options, he had a history of being a premium scorer and his ownership was fairly high. But not TMac.

Well I'm looking at Westhoff next week. Port have a good draw for the rest of the year.

But yes, forwards are falling over this year. When is Toby Greene back?

I already have Westhoff, Gray, McLean, Heeney, Smith, Lambert, Sicily and a couple others. Old Mac will be Def.

Green would be a nice inclusion. I’m waiting for his return to Swing Sicily back and Green in.

So I decided to do Oliver over Wines having been on the PA guy all week.....
Then forgot to actually do it before lockout. So now I gotta decide if I do Kelly or just leave it for next week since I am going to win all my games easily (I'm fielding 19 and projecting at 1890ish, none of my opponents are breaking 1600).
