Yep and last year was broadly consistent with the prior years. We should have a discussion about rule changes whenever coaches want, but the numbers show the rule changes to date haven’t impacted the number of trades. I also suspect (but have no evidence as I haven’t looked at the more established leagues) that trades naturally decline to a small extent as the league matures.
So Tom Mitchell is no longer the #1 midfielder in the game either?... I thought you had to lose your title, not just hand it over due to injury.
Semantics! If the champ can’t fight, he vacates the title and gives up the belt. If docherty doesn’t play for 2 years, and Mitchell for 1, then they’re no longer the number 1 in their positions.
