I feel for Fitzy on this - he will essentially only have a 27 player list for half a season. This retirement happened during our PSD - can the rules be amended to allow his delisting now? I also feel for the Collingwood Football Club - this $&@#% prick cost us two 1st round picks!
I would vote strongly in favour of no change. I would once again advocate for much later drafts for a variety of reasons including long term injury and retirement. In relation to Beams specifically, his football future has been uncertain but well speculated about for a very long time. He was very unlikely to be playing pre round 12 regardless of retirement status and hence not cutting him prior to this draft was a non decision made by the Vultures that they were comfortable with a list of 27, so no different in effect to holding a long term injured player.
