Gents Well done on another smooth-sailing draft. Special thanks to @Len and @That KI Guy for stepping into the breach for a couple of FU coaches. Unfortunately though, there is still no sign of @Tomster, so we'll have to figure out what to do with Gisborne. Given it might involve changing coaches I think this should be a whole of league decision. So, the two options I can see are: 1. Replace Tomster now. There are a couple of coaches waiting in the wings so this could be done pretty easily. 2. Have someone else (might be a kindly coach from another ORRF or a panel of FU coaches) manage Gisborne until a set time (e.g. MSD) and then transfer the team to a new coach if Tomster doesn't show in that period. Chuck any other options you can think of into the mix and we'll set up a poll soon. Cheers
I think this is probably a choice for @JPK how he wants to proceed mate. He has the keys to the kingdom. I would respectfully suggest we wait for him to weigh in before any polls or opinions or anything. he was democratically elected for a reason
Damo and I had already discussed this, and the above was our conclusion. We would like to hear everyone's opinions please, as this is not a trivial change we're discussing.
My 2c. It's been quite a long time between posts for Tomster and even if he didn't have access via PC then I would think he still could have checked in via phone, tablet, etc. He was always active in the past and the fact it has been so long without an appearance only makes me fear for the worst. I would think that we give him until 14 days prior to the season commencing and if no word, then bring in a full time replacement coach. This would at least give them time to relocate the franchise (if they desired) and maybe to do a trade or two if they wanted, before the season starts.
It’s unfortunate we haven’t heard from Tomster. Fingers crossed he is in good health. Happy to let my lords sort it out. Hopefully he pops his head in soon
