Lucky round 7 is upon us and with only 2 wins the difference between first and sixth the competition for a top four spot continues to heat up.

    Lagos Royals @Peter W (5th) vs. Darmstadt Dynamos @WillH_VI (2nd)

The Lagos Royals posted a big win last week, can they keep up this form against the powerhouse of the Dynamos coming off only their second loss of the season. A big match up for the Royals as they look to move into the top 4. Lagos new recruit Nicola Barr is maintaining a rich vein of form, an exciting match up against the Dynamos Bonnie Toogood who is having a huge season. Possibly the game to watch of the week!

    Vancouver Vultures @Athos123 (8th) vs. Kyoto Kruisers @FreoDockers (6th)

Both these clubs have struggled in the first half of the year but are coming off solid wins. The Vultures in particular will be looking to follow up their first win of the year to try and stay off the bottom of the ladder whereas the Kruisers will be feeling confident after posting the top score last round. Vultures will be looking towards some of their old guns such as Jaimee Lambert to continue their return to form. Kruisers will likely be looking towards their strong midfield to maintain their recent success.

Korean Kickers @Chloe (7th) vs. Stuttgart Storm @Jono Steven (3rd)

The Storm will be looking to score a win after a big match up against the Llamas last week. The Kickers on the other hand will be looking to score some much needed points to stay ahead of the Vultures on the bottom of table. The Kickers will still be missing Paxman this week but will be hoping Bowers returns to help them in this matchup. The Storm will be confident that Brownlow favourite Gardiner will continue her form after an amazing 33 disposal game last week and may be looking to shift new signing Eden Zanker into their on field side after a 5 goal game in round 6.

    Lima Llamas @hoschke118 (1st) vs. Majorca Islanders @TheTassieHawk (4th)

A huge match for both teams this week and another big one to watch this round. The Llamas will be eager to hang on to their top of the ladder spot after bouncing back from their only loss of the season to date. The Islanders will definitely be looking to knock them off to stay ahead of the Royals and the Kruisers currently breathing down their neck. Will we see some changes to the Llamas’ lineup after a somewhat disappointing showing from their bench last week? Will the Islanders squad, still consistently pumping out big scores week to week, score a win to pull them clear of the other teams pushing for their top 4 spot.

    Good luck everyone!

Islanders 11/867 now lead the Llamas 10/717 @hoschke118 with Lima looking to take advantage of it’s numerical superiority to overtake the deficit in the final stages of this contest.

Early scores see the Kruisers 1054 defeating the Vultures 816.
First time the Kruisers have exceeded 1000 and the first time 5 players in my side have reached the ton (Bruton 124, Davey 122, Thomas 111, Whitfort 100 and Goldsworthy 100)

Round 7 winners in the 2023 Premier League were Darmstadt by 18, Majorca by 49, Stuttgart by 88 and Kyoto by 238 - with Kyoto (again) high scoring with 1054 and their opponents Vancouver low scoring with 816.

The round 7 results have seen Darmstadt reclaim top position ahead of Lima and Stuggart all on 5 wins, with the 4th placed Islanders and 5th placed Kyoto both on 4 wins and 6th placed Lagos on 3 wins.

The final week of the 2023 regular season has us set up for another dramatic finish.
