ORFFA Round 12/AFL Round 16 Thursday 29th June

THEME – Shiny New Toy Round

Ooh, look at the shiny new toy I’ve drafted. He’s much better than the dull, chipped and broken toy I just threw away in the ORFFA delistment period during a fit of anger and as a nod to unmitigated disposable consumerism.

Wait, what did that dull, chipped and broken toy just score this week? Wait, what did my shiny new toy score? Wait ….

Charlies Opening Spelunkers v Waikikamoocow Incorrigibles
Whitsunday Warriors v Wagga Wagga Wombats
Wineglass Bay Packers v Venus Bay Vultures
    Birdsville Battlers v Nareewillock Nuffers
Cradle Mountain Devils v Mt Beauty Uglies
Dunsborough Dung Beetles v Marble Bar Misfits
Foul Bay Chickens v Lovely Banks Lilacs
Gariwerd Cockatoos v Larrikin Lagoon Lefties

ORFFA Round 13/AFL Round 17 Thursday 6th July

    THEME – NAIDOC Week

ORFFA Round 13 falls smack-bang in the middle of NAIDOC Week 2023, which will be celebrated from July 2-9 with the theme of ‘For Our Elders’. Let’s celebrate the great Indigenous people who have graced football fields around the country and have helped make this great game even greater.

Iron Knob Codpieces v Charlies Opening Spelunkers
Larrikin Lagoon Lefties v Gundagai Grasshoppers
Lovely Banks Lilacs v Gariwerd Cockatoos

ORFFA Round 14/AFL Round 18 Thursday 13th July

    THEME – ORFFA Literature Round

Book learnin’ has no place in the ORFFA, unless it is proper type literature book learnin’ during proper type ORFFA Literature Round. So this week let’s celebrate our favourite authors and pieces of high-concept literature.

Or, alternatively, let’s just shell out $37 for the AFL Football Record.

Charlies Opening Spelunkers v Whitsunday Warriors
Wineglass Bay Packers v Waikikamoocow Incorrigibles
Birdsville Battlers v Wagga Wagga Wombats
Cradle Mountain Devils v Venus Bay Vultures

Gundagai Grasshoppers v Lovely Banks Lilacs
Iron Knob Codpieces v Larrikin Lagoon Lefties

ORFFA Round 15/AFL Round 19 Friday 21st July

    THEME – Stupid Injury Round

Arriving just in time to disrupt teams in the lead-up to ORFFA Finals, Stupid Injury Round allows everyone the chance to be just like various AFL footballers who have made a mess of their bodies in weird, bizarre and unexpected ways.

Pick your poison, people (not literally, that would be a really stupid injury) and firewalk with me (again, quite stupid). Take a golf cart (yes, stupid too), jump off a fence (again, stupid), fall out of a tree (hmmm) or jump on a trampoline (OK, that’s enough).

Whatever you do, just don’t fall off the back of a ute.

Larrikin Lagoon Lefties v Charlies Opening Spelunkers
Lovely Banks Lilacs v Iron Knob Codpieces
Marble Bar Misfits v Gundagai Grasshoppers
Mt Beauty Uglies v Gariwerd Cockatoos
Nareewillock Nuffers v Foul Bay Chickens
Venus Bay Vultures v Dunsborough Dung Beetles
Wagga Wagga Wombats v Cradle Mountain Devils
    Waikikamoocow Incorrigibles v Birdsville Battlers
Whitsunday Warriors v Wineglass Bay Packers

ORFFA Round 16/AFL Round 20 Friday 28th July

THEME – Non-Phoning it in Round

In a variation of one of our much beloved ORFFA theme rounds, this year we will be asking our fantasy players to in fact not phone in their late season performances and instead try their hardest, dive for the loose ball, hit targets, hold their marks, kick straight and tackle everyone to within an inch of their lives.

You know, all the stuff they haven’t been doing all year.

Charlies Opening Spelunkers v Wineglass Bay Packers
    Birdsville Battlers v Whitsunday Warriors
Cradle Mountain Devils v Waikikamoocow Incorrigibles
Dunsborough Dung Beetles v Wagga Wagga Wombats
Foul Bay Chickens v Venus Bay Vultures
    Gariwerd Cockatoos v Nareewillock Nuffers
Gundagai Grasshoppers v Mt Beauty Uglies
Iron Knob Codpieces v Marble Bar Misfits
Larrikin Lagoon Lefties v Lovely Banks Lilacs

ORFFA Round 17/AFL Round 21 Friday 4th August

    THEME – Left Footers Round

August 13 is International Left-handers Day, a day where all things backwards and awkward(s) are brought forward(s) and celebrated in a way that befits the brilliance and general all-round special-ness of left-ness.

We at the ORFFA are celebrating a week early, due to the supposed need to schedule finals next week.

Lovely Banks Lilacs v Charlies Opening Spelunkers
Marble Bar Misfits v Larrikin Lagoon Lefties
Mt Beauty Uglies v Iron Knob Codpieces
    Nareewillock Nuffers v Gundagai Grasshoppers

My leagues looked like they were going into lockout at 1230pm Melb time (in 10 mins)

Now one league (the FL) is fully locked and and the other (FF) has most teams/players locked out but my GWS, NM and STK players are not locked out but are likely to do so in 10 mins.

The issue will be sorted by @walesy at some point tonight.

In all leagues coaches would be well advised to name their tigers and lions players in the round/year threads before tonight's lockout and then to jump on again after the fix hits to name their full side in TSleagues and ask for assistance if there are further issues.
