All right, I've succumbed to the 'it's too quiet around here' bug - so I'll gauge interest in one of my gents: Mark Hutchings 22 years old - WCE mid Nine games in 2013, average 90 SC Three games of 80+ SC points, 4 games of 100+ SC points - high score 127 SC v Gold Coast in Round 19. This auction will have a reserve - once that reserve is passed I'll let everyone know in this thread and then the fun can really begin. I'm not sure how long the auction will go for - I guess the first step is to see if said player meets the reserve. But I'll ensure that any end date to the auction is well advertised.
The Waikicks do not want to miss out on the fun of the auction. This auction has a realistic reserve price which when met will trigger a 24 hour final bidding period with the highest bid, as determined by me, being successful. This is a three currency auction. The first currency is 2014 pre-season draft picks. The second currency is 2014 mid-season draft picks with immediate ownership of the player. The third currency is 2014 mid-season draft picks with a change of ownership after round seven. Please indicate the currency you wish to deal in. A number of fellow ORFFANs have been looking for forwards, well here is a younger player who is top 40 by price with dual midfield eligibility and isin a side that will improve. Mitch Robinson; M/F; SC price: $434,600; 2013 average: 80.6; age:24 years 7 months. Over to you amigos.
Thank you TiB, most helpful; somehow I had missed that benefit of owning Mitch. I suppose I should also have mentioned that as part of the package, and at no extra cost, you get a budding DJ and an excellent pig hunter as well.
Chris what sort of return are you looking for for Hutchings, picks/players/roles any all etc? I am interested but am not sure where to look in my wallet.

Hey Len - most likely looking at draft pick/s or a draft pick/player combo if needs be. If players I probably wouldn't want guys that are too old, but I'm not hugely fussed on position because if it is a player worth having, then it doesn't matter where they play.
Lot 87 - A Bag of Carrots Andrew Carrazzo - MID - $356,500 - 30 yrs 2013 - 10 games @ 66 ppg (persistent calf injury) 2012 - 14 games @ 96 ppg (frac shoulder Rnd 4) Not a lot of luck for Carrots over the past two seasons, but post 2013 season calf surgery has him in full training since early December. Likely to see a move from tagging in 2014 with that mantle being handed over to the likes of Curnow, Armfield and Cachia. Seeking a PSD draft pick. Once reserve reached, will announce as selling and auction will run for roughly 24 - 36 hrs (based around logical end time)
Im gonna put two players up for auction. I'll see what happens. 1. Josh Gibson - Hawthorn - Def - Age 30. Won the Hawks B&F last year in a premiership year. Has averaged 89, 79, 79 over last three years. 2. Shaun Burgoyne -Hawthorn - Def/Mid - Age 31. 2nd highest SC ave at the Hawks last season in a premiership year. Valuable Def/Mid DPP. He has been Gariwerd Captain both seasons thus far.. Has averaged 81, 100, 80, 82, 85 over last five years. I would ideally like a draft pick in exchange for either of them, or a quality player aged 25 or under (preferably not a defender). High draft pick would be better option. Same as others. If I notice a bid im happy with, I'll let y'all know and set a closing date/time about 24 hours later.
I'm withdrawing Mark Hutchings from the auction block. Seems there's a lot of people looking for picks rather than being willing to part with them for a player (even if he is young). I'll hold onto him for now,

Thinking of a pick somewhere in the 3rd or 4th rnd.
I have some players that may be available if you need to fill a gap in your list, only really looking for draft picks. I'm not going to try and sell them you know if they are worth something or not, let me if you want a one of them.
Kommer only got the 1 bid which was from Simonoz, so I'm closing offers for him. Final deal: Kommer to Gundagai in exchange for #76 to the Wombats.

Given there's been absolutely no interest shown for these players in an auction, I've ended up offering them around during other trade negotiations. I'm now withdrawing both players from auction.

Feel pretty comfortable in holding him for another yr any way, in light of Judd's injury
Ok, I'm putting two new players up for auction. * Colin Sylvia - Mid/Fwd - Freo - aged 28, 3 months. Premium forward, with Mid eligibility too. Only just turned 28. Has moved to Freo and most expect his scores to improve at Freo (including the Prospectus & Walesy - mentioned once in a blog thread comment). last 5 seasons, has averaged 91, 88, 96, 81, 86. * Nick Dal Santo - Mid - NMK - aged 29, 11 months. a premium player who has also changed clubs. His 2013 ave of 97 is excellent, and was his lowest ever ave except for his debut season. He is about to turn 30 this month. He played a little in def late last year and his performances improved, and Brad Scott has already mentioned he may play def at Kangas too. Whether there or in Mid, he should do better at North than StK. His last 5 season averages were 116, 112, 119, 102, 97. I had initially thought I may hold onto these players til mid season as their value will likely increase, but I kinda need draft picks and/or a ruck with good job security, so I'm putting them out there now. Like all the others, if the 'reserve' is reached, I'll let yas know and set a closing deadline etc.
I guess there is only one way way to find out the current value of Tom Hickey. Last year he averaged 58 from limited opportunities including 117 against the GCS and 101 against Carlton; so he can play and score. This year the 23 year old gets his opportunity. I'll advise when and if he reaches my reserve. I'll consider player swaps, draft picks, or player and draft pick swaps. I do not want to stifle your creativity. OTY, a starting ruck with a big wrap on him. What am I bid?
And just like that young ruck star Hickey is withdrawn from the auction block. 'Cold feet chels?' I hear you ask. Nope, just a slight misunderstanding on my part with one of my estimeed colleagues.
No need to upgrade you sNoZ - you are already an estimeed colleague. In fact the most estimeed of all the ORFFA USA based members mate!
