Noted Pre-Trade Period This is the discussion held last time, most of our opinions are detailed, mine certainly are.

Also I believe we need some more cactus grabbing/wielding. Perhaps my mob could take this advice on the weekend and arm a few of our shorter players with branches of Cereus (perhaps even Oreocereus) cacti in order to wave wildly at various Sleepy Hollow-based footballers. It would help them take a few marks as well, methinks.
ah the cactus grab by a young Majak... doing the Spelunkers proud /Portals/0/Users/168/92/7592/cactus.jpg' style='width: 500px; height: 271px; little did you know that that incident was followed up by this image taken when the Spelunkers bus broke down during our whitsunday off season visit /Portals/0/Users/168/92/7592/bus.jpg' style='width: 500px; height: 400px;
Not really. But there is the distinct possibility of being angry enough to throw the whole team at a burning bus full of cacti.

I will post the preliminary official draft order in what will become the draft thread tonight if Walesy rolls early enough, or tomorrow night if he doesn't.
Hey Len - I know this doesn't actually apply to me, but do those teams that have already whipped through their six delistings/trades in the PSD (and thus aren't compelled to take part in the MSD) have to declare if they are going to participate or not? Reason I ask is that if there are coaches who are considering trading MSD picks or using them to bid in auctions, those picks might become a little more important if, for example, three teams in front of them aren't taking part in the draft. I didn't think there was any need for coaches to say if they were going to take part, but I wasn't sure what the procedure was.

I didn't think there was any need for coaches to say if they were going to take part, but I wasn't sure what the procedure was. Up until we get final delistings all picks are technically active and all coaches have the right to voluntarily activate as deep or as shallow as they wish through either trading or delisting. Without directly asking everyone of their intent which may be an option if you are looking to trade picks with them there is no way to know until de-lists are complete what the final list will look like..
Can someone trade a pick they don't have though Len... so for example Chris (if I understand correctly), doesn't have to participate in the MSD. Could he trade his first round (14) to someone that is participating, and then decide not to enter the draft, and thereby trading a pick that really doesn't belong to him? I assume the answer is no, but just making sure!
Bandit, I asked a similar question via the Calendar of events thread. gravenger wrote: </br> Thnx Len, Can I confirm another point/s regarding trading prior to the MSD. If coaches wish to trade MSD draft picks then I presume that this can only be done if a coach has an obligation to participate in the MSD. And if a pick was to be traded, it would only be identified by round number. Coaches whom delisted down to 22 or lower prior to the PSD (and thus have voluntary MSD involvement) would not be able to trade MSD picks. Are these correct presumptions? Draft picks for any round of the 2014 MSD and the 2015 PSD can be traded, regardless of compulsory involvement levels. For the 2014 MSD the round number and pick number of the traded pick needs to be listed and will be knowable, for 2015 PSD picks traded the round number must be listed, the pick number is unknowable. The value of the pick is determined by the holder, so whilst a R1 pick for a coach who does not have to participate in the MSD is nil should he not trade it or exercise it, it is still a valid currency and can be traded as normal to realise value. Hope that answers the query
this q has been asked many times before. I remember, initially, Chels and I were strongly opposed to people being able to trade picks they do not even have, but the decision was made to allow it. Since then, I have even done it myself. My 2nd round MSD pick is on the table, but I highly doubt I'll be using it myself if I dont end up trading it.
anthak wrote: Whilst talking trades... Can anyone remember what came of the discussion we had about discussing trades outside of trade periods. I would really like to kick off negotiations already but I can't remember if it was allowed. Personally, at the time and now, I don't agree with any limitations on when we can discuss trades, but I am just 1, and I can't remember what the group decided. Can anyone remember. ? Go for it.
