BigBash fantasy comp.

HM - because I am also involved in the Foxsport Fantasy BBL comp, I find alot of my info through their BBL link - another avenue for info is the Cricket Australia site, www.cricket.com.au, and also the individual teams sites.

 

Yeah the sport of cricket certainly doesn't work as well as some of the others in fantasy land that's for sure.

From watching tonight I learned Fidel Edwards is heading home also so if anyone has him it's time to go.

 

Bloody hell I bench Beer because North isn't giving him a fair bowl (5 overs in 2 games), then he comes out tonight and rips it up like he was before I traded him in. Not to mention the guys who are supposed to score 50's in Doherty and McKay score me 12 points between them, so frustrating!

 

Ahhh so you are Thunderstruck, nice job holding up our league, we moved into 23rd overall - top 20 finish would be nice! I'm 2nd on total points but 5th on the ladder and only +14 points difference, will need to win the last 2 just to get into finals!

I think it's pretty safe to think he'll be back in the Strikers side if he pulls up ok - will replace the unknown Salpiterio who really done his best to help the Scorchers add an extra 25 runs they wouldn't have got with a half decent bowler bowling those overs!!!

 

Pretty difficult this comp. My issue is captains choice, tend to put it on a batsman these days and copped Hodge in the wet. No doubt he went smacko because of the Bird-Finch wicket and early tight overs.

I will just chuck in a few more star players this week and hope for the best.

My side after this trade session:
Hussey, Gibbs, Birt, Hodge (Cooper)
Gayle, Afridi (Faulkner)
Triffitt (Smith)
Naved, McKay, Richardson, Lee (Bird)

And then next round it will be Faulkner out for a 34k and in comes Wade for Triffitt (it might be tight, so hopefully Triffitt takes some catches/runs tonight).

Last trade before finals would then be probably Cooper downgrade for the best available upgrade for Richardson, maybe Krejza.

So it looks something like:
Hussey, Gibbs, Birt, Hodge (Lockyear)
Gayle, Afridi (Floros)
Wade (Smith)
Naved, McKay, Lee, Krejza (Bird)

 

Only 4 1/2 hours till lockout, so everyone make sure you don't forget to make your trades!!!

 

FFS having to try and figure out who I want to trade out.

Harris was meant to be out last round so I traded him instead of Hopes, who was a chance to play - who didn't play anyway. Major GAH! Just hope I'm in the finals in at least one league.

 

What happened to Triffit - did he play and just get no score?

 

Port...on Triffitt Yes again, two in a row now.

That said he is doing better than Smith who has basically gone single figures each week with no catches or runouts, then got a golden globe and nothing else this week. -20 and a price probably below the starting price of anyone.

TBH I think Triffitt will get a few catches with the Stars batsmen out of form. Stars bowlers tend to get a few wickets, so he might get a few runs. If I was predicting his score it would be 45 tonight.

 

Well with 4 of them in my team, all I can say is I hope that the Renegades extinguish the Heat (see what i did there).

Krejza dropped tonight, I was considering trading him in too. Would have considered him a lock selection for finals time but not anymore.
