I've got $1,223,100 salary cap to play around with, batsmen alone are look at being $500k plus so might need to find a few cheap options somewhere.

Lets see if this works now?
Ive made a draft and have $168K left over. Stacked my team with the teams I hope make the final. Lets hope it pays off, all or nothing I'd say.
    @HeavyMen
Only one set of unlimited trades mate, pretty stupid I think, turns it into a tipping comp.

A thought for those who are stacking teams, use the emergencies from one other team.

Then of course Murphy's Law will dictate the other team will win the whole thing, so therefore plonk a few $ on them to win.

    Win in all circumstances.

Unfortunately it doesnt matter who you have as emergencies Lucas, because it doesnt come out of lockout between the semis and final, so if your players on the field play in the semi and dont make the final, then you dont get automatic emergencies because your onfield player has played.
    If that makes sense

@UA & Lucas - i was thinking along the lines of lucas, then rethought halfway through my trading and now agree with UA !!

btw - if you are picking Stars and Hurricanes to win then who would you pick as all rounders - I went with Wright, May and Collingwood so will be picking up at least one donut for the final. I really wanted to pick Faulkner but thought he was meant to have surgery - has this been put off until after BBL semis and finals??

also - who ever thought of the trading system for finals has stuffed up badly - i really wanted to pick one of the cheap wikcys as my 2nd kepper but can't as they aren't playing finals, but if I had already picked them up it would be OK !!

Ahh I think I misunderstood how it worked, so the bench player is basically totally useless as he can't cover for someone who plays in a semi but not a final?

    Yeah, this system is stupid.

I dont know this for sure, but it makes sense.
I emailed them the other day to ask about these things and to tell them how stupid I thought it was. Their reply was utterly useless, didnt explain much, only said that they thought it was going to make it exciting.

So, I should just be stacking my bench with cheapies who wont play, and not a true backup should things go south???

    time for a rethink

In my league I can't see what approach ppl have taken for the finals round. As it's h/t in the semi I thought I'd post my team. No surprises I am hoping the Scorchers & Hurricanes make the finals.

$ weren't an issue but finding a 2nd all rounder to partner MM was!!

    North (23 runs)
    Gibbs (71)
    Birt
    O Shah

    MM (41)
Collingwood (31) (Man I hate typing that word Lucas!)

    Ronchi (5)

    Navad
    Krejza
    Rimmington
    NCN

(Emer: Jaques, Johnston, Triffit & Doherty)

Wouldn't want to see a Stars v Sixes granny!

I felt most would expect the Scorchers and Hurricanes to win, so I mixed it up a bit and went for the Stars and Canes.

    Hussey
    Birt
    Quiney
    Wells

    Wright
    Faulkner

    Triffitt

    Naved
    McKay
    Krejza
    Doherty

    EMG:
    Voges
    Johnston
    Wade
    Bird

Looking OK at the moment, if my allrounder boys can keep the Stars going strong!

I mixed it up a bit with my selections, but basically I'm dead because I made Hussey captain so I'm stuck with -40 over 2 matches!

    Hussey
    Birt
    Shah
    Gibbs

    S. Smith
    Faulkner

    Ronchi

    Naved
    Hogg
    NCN
    McKay

    @Thokash

Should only be -8 x 2 for Hussey, he took the catch to dismiss North, so not as bad as you thought :)

True, that catch is a net gain of 24 points well done Huss!

Allrounders were a bit of a gold mine last night, I almost went Marsh but had too many Scorchers. Wasn't happy to see Wright taking some overs off Hussey either!

So, the Sixers made it through over Hobart - looks like stacking the team with Perth and Hobart players wasn't such a good idea!

Anyone have a few Sixers in the final line-up?

    Yeah,..no

Yeah stacking (as I did) with Perth & Hobart, not so clever now & no - no sixers

Bloody Tasweigans, Birt (C) & OShah disappointing. Navad good & Krejza ok

Will have 7 Schorchers trying to do the work of 11 men next week!
