Right now I cbf doing or thinking about anything AFL related.. Maybe if we get to a point where they say it's starting in 4 weeks, ie the "mini preseason"
A definite no for me for bringing forward the MSD. For anyone wanting some SC/fantasy related tasks to break the boredom then it would be handy to have someone volunteer to update the men’s database with date of births for the new draftees and rookies and apps. Contact Walesy for further details if you are interested.
Why would we do that? Season is only a week old. If people are that unhappy with the players they drafted a month ago then they only have themselves to blame.
It’s not about being unhappy with players, even though I do have a couple I forgot to delist. I was more thinking that we might not get another break once it starts up again. When they do start, there’ll likely be heaps of games crammed into a smallish timeframe, so no time for drafting. But I like Len’s idea of waiting until they announce a restart date I guess we just wait and see how things pan out for now
Hi everyone, Now that we have a potential date for round 2, what do you all think of having our mid season draft in the leadup? We may not get another break all season.
@anthak The last 2 MSDs have each been completed in 4 days. Is there any reason why an early midseason draft would be preferable to an actual midseason draft squeezed in between 2 rounds a little bit later on ?
I'm hesitant... no one has really had a chance to see how their players have fared from the PSD. Happy to defer to the masses if there is enough interest
I'd prefer to defer it a bit, let's see what the fixture list throws up. It is possible the players association will not be happy playing 16 rounds without a break. If not we can knock over a MSD between a Sunday evening and the next Thursday's bounce.
Sorry haven’t checked in for weeks. Vote defer as well, can’t draft with little to no nformation out there.
If we didn't have the compulsory picks left over from the PSD I'd say forget the MSD and run waivers..
A note has been sent to a few of you to stoke the fire on ORFFA season 2020 For those of you that don't get it, don't feel left out, you can get stuffed
TTH, it is mainly that I am concerned about the haphazard nature of the season potentially not giving us a good chance to draft later on. G has a good idea here that we should wait until the AFL fixture is released to assess then.
