RD8 Results: Chinchilla 1185 def Black Swamp 1163. With an away trip to the 29's for our first ever 6 Stubby Derby, it wasn't a good time for the injury toll to raise it's ugly head. With JPK, Higgins, Stevens, Griffen, Adams and Sexton all unavailable for selection, it was not an easy task to put a team on the field good enough to face Black Swamp on their home deck and coming off 5 wins on the trot. The lads who took the field at The Swamp, did Chinchilla proud and got the win, albeit our lowest score for the year. Our defence is not getting the job done regularly enough, although Tuohy's 97 here helped repel the home town threat. Zorko once again led the way with 130, the only player in the League to ton up every game so far, ably supported by the Big Fella, Naitanui 116, with Montagna and Picken both getting 110, that being Liam's best score this season. We are now sitting 3rd on 7-1 and hope to get a few of our players back in time to face The Avengers from Cockburn, who are on a 4 game winning streak and boast the 2nd highest "points for" in the league and are currently 6th.
