Ararat would also like to thank the executive team at Cow Bay for making negotiations smooth, honest and pain free. Confirmed...except for the beanpole bit. He's listed as 111kg! Gawn for free? Not true Damo. I made the same mistake as you, hence my 'No Comment' above. You need to go to the original post to see that Gawn went to Ararat in exchange for Trade picks. 19) Cow Bay send Max Gawn and 2nd round 2015 mid season draft pick to Ararat for preseason draft pick (36) and 1st round 2015 mid season draft pick.

Cheers mate, missed the clarification in the starter post. Insider's good, but even he can't get something for nothing.
gee whizz you blokes. i was trying to join in on all the stories and write a bit of a yarn and ya shoot me down for not making my spiel boring with all the details! bloody fun police!
The Burracudas & Buffalos have come to terms sending PSD 10 to Serengeti for Guthrie to Groote Eylandt.
Pavlich is set to join former teammate Josh Jenkins at Eden, in exchange King Island will get Scott Thompson and pick 24.
In breaking news just in, Staghorn Flat and Ararat have agreed to terms to ship young midfield prodigy Stephen Coniglio to the Bulls. Always clingy and sentimental, all the Armadillos bid a tearful goodbye to Conigs and his projected 110ish supercoach points for 2015 and beyond. It was a tough decision given his age and upside, however the Dillos couldnt pass up the chance to bring in one of their favourite little workaholics from an opposition team. The Bulls forward line depth allowed them to part with none other than Luke Dahlhaus. Pre season draft pick 17 was also included as part of the deal. Ararat commends yet another gentlemanly team in Staghorn Flat, whom made discussions and negotiations most pleasant and transparent.
Correct me if I am wrong... but earlier today I'm sure I read holky traded pick 6 for whitecross and 38... seems it has disappeared... can anyone confirm?
Hey tyze, As fresh had just traded Whitecross in, I didn't think you were then permitted to trade that player OUT. Maybe they realised that and deleted the post... just sayin'

We agreed on a trade and then it was pulled. I wasn't aware of a rule saying I wasn't able to trade out a player I got in, don't remember voting on anything like that when we had the initial vote for how FU would run but my memory could be failing me.
Maybe it's me who's got the Bull by the croc.......but somewhere in the back of my mind, and bear in mind it's pretty bloody old, I read somewhere that you couldn't trade out a player, during the same draft period, that you traded in. Picks are OK to be traded but not players. Maybe we need someone on the hierachy to either confirm or shoot me down in flames....

What do you mean 'it was pulled' Fresh? Surely once a trade is posted it can't be taken back? Or was it somehow vetoed or declared invalid? Personally, I can't see a problem with on-trading a player. Didn't think there was a rule against it. Also, I agree with Choppers thoughts a while ago about posts not being edited or deleted. If something happens it should be clear for everyone to follow.

The way it played out was that we both agreed to the trade in PM discussions but after Holky posted the trade in the thread he had second thoughts about it, deleted his post and let me know in a PM. I was out for most of today so I never saw the actual trade posted and just assumed it was only up for a couple of mins and no one saw it.
OK ,my thoughts, irrespective of whether a traded IN player is allowed to be traded OUT or not, this post is titled 'COMPLETED TRADES' so I agree with tylo here, if you post a trade in this forum, then the trade is completed. full stop. No ifs buts maybes or I changed my mind. You need to do all those things before you post it in this forum. Just sayin'................
Hey guys, pretty sure we had agreed posts should not be deleted. There's really no need to remove them, it only poses questions and more posts. On the trade issue, I can't remember a rule saying you can't on-trade. Aside from this I was sure it said in the rules that trades could be cancelled by mutual consent, however I can't find it now. Anyway if Holky traded 6 for Whitecross & 38, if he changed his mind and Fresh agreed, couldn't Holky trade Whitecross & 38 for 6? If there is no rule against on-trading, then as long as both coaches consented, both parties could reverse the trade.

Of course you can change your mind! If the other party is gentlemanly enough (which of course Fresh is) and agrees to amicably dissolve within the stated time frame then no dramas at all. Why have the veto rule but not allow the coaches involved to enforce it? Ridiculous! And Chop you silly old bugger, stop making up rules! on-trades are allowed
Sorry to hijack the thread with an actual trade but.. After some thorough and enjoyable discussions, Serengeti and Christmas Island have agreed to the following trade; Brett Deledio and MSD round 2 pick head to the Smugglers in exchange for Charlie Dixon and PSD pick 51. The Buffaloes are sad to see such a champion leave the club but wish him all the best as he seeks to finish his career playing finals footy and hopefully contending for a premiership. Meanwhile, they welcome with open arms young Charlie Dixon and look forward to seeing him develop into a dominant forward/ruck of the competition.
