On paper this is the most even of the 4 matchups with Beast Mode ranked 1474th with a 7-3 record during the Group stages and EreCumDeOtSteppa close behind at 1596th overall and also the owner of a 7-3 record. MIck's side scored a massive 2574 and will be looking to put early scoreboard pressure on the marginal favourite in Tailgunner, as both GroupBEG league teams battle it out for a semi final spot.

SF Bulls are the highest ranked side in the comp at82nd overall (up from #187 last week) after posting an unbelievable 2714 last week. Mad Mattigan is ranked in the 25000's overall but has ridden his luck relying on a stifling defence throughout the tournament to post an 8-2 record which is matched by this weeks opponent. Tyze1was a narrow and desperately unlucky runner up in the 2013 Masters Series and has overwhelming favouritism this sudden death matchup of 2 of the outstanding teams fromthe FGH league.

277th ranked Blue Steele is only a sliver behindSF Bulls in second favouritism for the Champions League title after posting 9 wins out of 10 in the Group stages while their 3095th ranked opponents managed 7 wins and 3 losses after starting slowly in the first group stage. Bigron will like his chances after posting a huge 2491 in Round 16 play and this one shapes as a classic matchup, with the GroupABC league opponents relying on huge performances from this weeks POD's to help them progress to the last 4.

Well done Blue, played you twice for two losses for a combined 14 points! Thanks to all involved in running this comp.

Mick you just got me, (no ruck coverage will the circuit breaker) good that we had live scoring through our ORFFU SC league.

an unexpected bonus that the 3rd place match had live scoring tyze1

did this make much difference to your experience as compared to knockout comps like the Masters Series and Shield where you simply find out the result after lockout with no idea how your opponent is going over the weekend

when I set up this comp I was hoping that this aspect in the group stages and most of the playoffs would add to the interest, with the other difference being the ability for the very good sides to rebound from an early loss (such as Blue Steele in the very first match) or two

some feedback on this (or any other aspects) would be nice, as subject to interest 48,64,72 and 96 team comps could be possible but would need to be planned ahead of SC opening in February

going to more than 48 teams would probably require everybody to join up to a 3rd league and if this is a turnoff then I think we could probably have a Champs League DIv1 comp and Champs League Div 2 comp in 2016 instead if we can manage to russle up 96 teams

TTH definite bonus to have live scoring, much more interactive and offered more engagement.
I mean in hindsight I could have burnt a trade had I wanted to steal victory, if it had been a GF I might have just done that. Certainly gives SC another aspect of enjoyment
