Wasn't really worried but their emergency procedures were rather piss poor. If it was a life threatening emergency people would have died for sure. Snoz, '[span style='color: #2e2e2e;]The team will initially travel to New York in the second week of November for a training camp, including a practice match against a US representative GAA team, before arriving in Dublin in the week of the November 21 match.' Funny thing is, no one knows when or where this practice game will be played yet !! </div> Ha! Funny they are not that organised. Should be riding off the team announcment to boost ticket sales. Id say it'll be fairly easy to find out once they get it sorted. I bet you would be looking forward to it. I went to the game in Perth last season. It was pretty amazing seeing all them great players in one place at one time.
Hey, y'all should check this out: http://www.pozible.com/project/201127 I thought its fitting here, given the regional theme. Its a cool project and it needs some extra funds to get going. I hope it can get to the target.

All they've done is add up the 2015 points for and points against of all the 2016 opponents to determine hardest or easiest draws...??? For starters, the 2015 points totals are based on the difficulty of the team's 2015 draw, so its not a particularly good measure of a team's strength. And it takes no consideration of breaks between games, and travel. Which surely contribute to the difficulty of a draw. Perhaps they have crunched the numbers and found the points totals to be more reflective than the other influences.
For mine what would be informative would be if the afl were to adopt a degree of transparency in their decision making and said 'we arrived at the fixture list based on the following parameters.'

Haven't heard any more though </div> i think they called the game off and then played a smaller practice game at training amongst themselves.

Would have been interesting. I bet the opposition would be disappointed the game was called off, not to mention the fans who were gonna go watch it. Im keen to hear from snoz about the promotion of the game, because it sounded like there was not much said about it early on, and im wondering if that changed in the leadup. got called off anyway. mustve been for the best - would have been a shame to get an injury, like last year where Fyfe injured himself in the leadup to the big game.
Agree with you TiB, for once I did not watch the whole game although I rushed home from golf to make sure I could. The level of skill exhibited was disappointing - I watched West Coast quite a lot this year and this game was quite atypical. Final's pressure? Perhaps. I do not enjoy watching this Hawthorn team play. For mine they are a team of thugs. Yes, there is the occasional passage of play of such quality I stand up and applaud. But I despair at the level of niggle and intimidation. Ruthless I can accept but I see a distinction. Sure, it is 'legal' in the sense that they do not get penalised for their approach; but it just leaves me cold.
Love it Prap... Andy you were actually in one of those new movies where you experience the outcome, sort of like a choose your own adventure!
Just wanted to start a thread about any discussions that don't warrant their own thread..........anything & everything. Anyway, was reading the paper just now. The NFL Salary cap, per team, next season, is $143 million. Think about that....there are 32 teams x $143 Mill.....is that really a player salary of 4.5 BILLION dollars, for one season ??? snoz
