Total bollocks. You provide no justification for your assertion, which I contend has no basis. In ORFFL at the end of season, you can keep a core of 15 players at 25+ years as your main squad and still keep up to 5 speculative 'kids' or 'project players' when it comes time to trim down list size to 20.

Quote from Hornsy on June 22, 2012, 12:17 @Ant I wrote that the rule may disadvantage some, not that it is flawed. There's a difference there, and it's not just semantics (rules by their nature advantage some, disadvantage others). If you want to debate this further, feel free to PM me, as this isn't the forum for it.
I never suggested that you wrote that it was flawed, just that it may be... but im missing the point still. fair enough, what you wrote. No need for a side discussion on that mate. but thanks anyway. sorry to misrepresent you.

Actually, it is semantics and it is the use of "keeper" that causes misunderstanding. Those that are students of history will no doubt have noted that during the very formative stages of ORFFL, Hornsy was not too nimble with his spelling (a bit like the current PL actually). Clearly what he intended to say was Keplar League. Hope that clarifies matters for all concerned getting their nuts in a knot.

Just to clarify, the 6 de-listments was the key thing wasn't it, not the getting your team down to 20 players pre-draft. Meaning if I went into the draft with 27 players I could then de-list 6 and draft 5?
So in a situation where one team offers up two players for just one player from the other team and it is accepted one team will have 27 players and the other 25. To get the list down to 20 does that mean the team with 27 players has to delist 7 and draft 6 and the team with 25 delist 5 and draft 6 ? Or do both teams still have to delist the mandatory 6 and one team draft 5 and the other 7 ?
But going by that kash then thunda's argument of trading your list down would work, instead of de-listing, and I thought that was a big no-no? I thought I understood it till I asked about it...
I think what I meant to say was minimum 6 delistings (can be more) and a maximum of 20 players on a list before the draft. Or at least that's how I understood it.
