Very little separated the midfields, forward line, ruck and interchange of the two teams however a massive difference in the performance of both backlines ultimately decided the game in emphatic fashion. Even with one of their defenders Guthrie being a late withdrawal and emergency Buntine coming into the team to replace him the Mount Beauty defense performed magnificently for 461 points.
