Haha, not if he doesn't end up on a list. If he were picked up by someone then he is a chance to be retained, but he doesn't look to be in the best 22 atm.
Hello all, It seems like most people are re-posting their teams so being the sheep that I am, I will re-post mine also. Defenders: Broughton (F), Yarran, D.Pearce (M), M.Johnson, McMahon, Ibbotson, Laidler, S.Wright, J.MacDonald, A.Smith Midfielders: J.Selwood, Dangerfield, Kelly, Liberatore, J.Trengove (Melb), Polkinghorne Ruck: Mumford Forwards: Pavlich, Ja.Roughead (R), Bartel (M), Dalhaus, L.Adams (M), JJ Kennedy, J. Garlett, Stokes Untouchable: *Selwood *Dangerfield *Roughead Paying overs required: *Broughton *Mumford *Yarran *Dalhaus Good deals required for: *D.Pearce *M.Johnson *Kelly *Libba *Trengove *Pavlich *Bartel *Adams *Kennedy *Garlett *McMahon On the block (probably for an 80+ mid): *Ibbotson *J.MacDonald *Wright *Laidler *A.Smith *Polkinghorne *Stokes Already Delisted: M.Seaby (I know, I know...)
I would not balk at trading Juddy to the Chooks at all Chief. My reticence is simply due to there being nothing, apart from your untouchables, that gets me squirming in my chair.
The management of Foul Bay are disappointed with the actions of one of our players, Scott McMahon,in last week's practice match down in Geelong. At no stage does Foul Bay condone actions that could lead to suspension, even more so when the actions are directed towards a teammate, Jordan Murdoch, who had just been drafted to th club. 'We are extremely disappointed in Scott's actions, as is he' said Chief Russell in a statement. 'While we recognise that we have drafted a squad of very competitive individuals, we don't condone any infighting within the club. We recognise that both Scott and Jordan are fighting for spots in a very competitive backline, but intraclub practice matches are not the time, nor the place for skirmishes to be breaking out.' When asked if he was concerned with the injury interrupted pre-seasons of many of the club's bigger names, CR was cautiously optimistic. 'It is true that Pav, Mummy, Trennersand Patch have seen very little time on the track and Jimmy Bartel and James Kelly have been on modified programs which hasn't been ideal. But all of them got some game time last week apart from Jack Trengoveand I was really encouraged by Pav in particular. Jimmy Bartel looked brilliant in his only hitout, and James Kelly looked to be covering the ground well. We know that he will miss the first week due to some ill discipline that we are looking to stamp out, particularly with the recent events involving Scotty Mac, but the rest of our mids Sel, Danger and Brock have been solid. Plus we seem to have gotten Libba off the drugs so he will add a bit too. Not to mention, Roughy looks set for a big year up forward, so we are quietly confident that things are rounding into shape for us quite nicely. Our biggest issue is that Chris Yarran still looks to be playing like a lairish, undisciplined spud. Thinks he is a bit better than what he is. Maybe a run in the magoos for Round 1 will give him the kick in the arse that he needs.'

Might have to work out a trade to get you Setanta O'hAilpin - looks like he would fit right in
Well done to all the boys on achieving the goal of back-to-back premierships. While we weren't always the best performed side (and some wrote us off) we pulled it all together in the finals and produced some of the dominant form that took us to the premiership in 2012. We will enjoy the festivities on Monday, but the Chief is already hard at work in what should be another busy off season as he tries for the first ever ORFFA Three-peat. Free Agency List: Untouchables: Dangerfield Selwood Liberatore Roughead Mumford Bartel Offers would have to blow me away: Dahlhaus Hawkins M.Johnson Ibbotson Stokes Yarran Adams J.Thomas Up for discussion (but only if you are serious) Pavlich Kelly Judd McLean Vince D.Pearce J.Trengove (Melb) Broughton Harwood McMahon J.Murdoch Free to a good home: Hannath Giansiracusa D.Menzel
2014 Season Update (after Round 3): The two time defending champions have had a promising start to the season, winning their first three games of the season (with two of them coming against pre-season fancies in the Uglies and the Cows). While the team is conceding more points than they would like, the team's offensive fire power has been pleasing. On the injury front, Chris Judd has left a bit of a hole in the midfield, particularly with the form of McLean and Trengove being not up to ORFFA standard. The defence, while performing well, still lacks some depth despite the best efforts of the recruiting team over the off season to shore this up. Lucky we decided to move Bartel back there in the off season, trade for Heath Shaw and recruit Matthew Jaensch (who might be one of the early club house leaders for draft pick of the year), because apart from the ever reliable Michael Johnson...that's about it. Ibbotson is injured again as always and we have got nothing out of Heath Scotland. Ryan Harwood isn't quite coming on as we would like and Greg Broughton is...well, he is about what we expected. The 'Geelong trio' of Selwood, Stokes and Kelly are doing as expected and Libba, while having a slower start to the season is showing signs of rounding into form. Dangerfield looks to be carrying some niggles, but Roughead is ever reliable and we have hopes that Luke Dahlhaus will be the next big thing in the AFL. The big story so far is Shane Mumford. The decision was made at the end of last season to leave Jarryd Roughead as a permanent forward, so Mummy was the lone ruckman on the list. He had been struggling for the best part of two years, but seems to be relishing the responsibility and faith shown him by the selectors as the undisputed No.1 man and has been outstanding. Jake Spencer is developing in the reserves and might get a call up later in the season in an attempt to freshen Mummy up, but our premiership hopes rely on Mummy maintaining his current form. List management has already met (we move quickly) and have released the following list. Foul Bay would be seeking players with slightly lower averages and less miles on the clock or draft picks in the first two and a half rounds. Untouchable (please don't ask): Selwood Liberatore Dangerfield Dahlhaus Mumford Jaensch Roughead Yarran Required Players (you will have to give me a very good player): Harwood H.Shaw Bartel Hawkins Judd (love the guy too much to put him on the block) Good players up for trade (happy to keep if I don't get reasonable offers) M.Johnson James Kelly Vince Stokes Pavlich Ibbotson (alright, so he doesn't belong with the others in this group, but what can I say, I reckon he is massively undervalued and didn't want to put him under the next heading) Willing to give one more chance, but will trade if someone wants to take the risk and compensates me accordingly Jack Trengove J.Murdoch (shouldn't really be under this heading, but didn't fit in the others) Well and truly tradeable (draft picks or compelling offers): McLean R.Shaw L.Adams Broughton Spencer Phillips Already Retired and off fighting fires: H.Scotland
2015 Mid-season Report 'What are your thoughts on the 2015 season so far Chief?' 'It's been shit. We are done. Already thinking about 2016.' 'But you are second on the ladder...' 'Idiot. Haven't you been watching...' Chief Russell storms off. So, the fantasy gods have well and truly caught up with the Chooks this season. Never in all my years of playing fantasy football coach (in any form of the game) have things hit me like this year. It was all part of the master plan that this would be my last big tilt at glory before I shipped off some players and begun a 'list rejuvenation' as the Cats would call it. Well, that's still the plan, just going to be doing it from a bit higher up the draft pecking order. Current Foul Bay Injured List: Libba (ACL) - season. Didn't even get on the park for me this season. 22 year old's who averaged 110+ in 2014? Just the one. This guy. Probably my most valuable asset. Judd (ACL) - season (and career). Yeah, it was the man's last season anyway, but shattering to be there to see him go down like that. Was still in my best 15, particularly with the injury to Libba Jaensch (ACL) - season Yep, my third ACL of the year. My youngest, highest averaging (and therefore, most valuable) defender of 2014. Second best defender this year. Mumford (ankle reconstruction) - season If Libba is my most valuable asset, this guy is without a doubt my most important player. The ruck is the hardest spot on the ground to fill with players, let alone quality ones. Rocket Eade hates Zac Smith despite the fact that he scored well when he played in the ruck. This means that I am carrying a donut for the rest of the year and become easy pickings if I even somehow manage to hold on to a finals birth Johnson (hamstring) - 8 weeks This should basically read 'out for the ORFFA season'. Was having another good year. My third best defender gone, right after losing my second best defender in Jaensch Bartel (knee) - still at least two weeks plus match fitness time to go Has only played one full game this year. Not only did he injure his knee, but then suffered an infection to it. All of a sudden it puts doubts on his career when he probably had another year left at both the Chooks and the Cats. Kelly (ankle) - 8 weeks (or the rest of the ORFFA season) The unluckiest man in football this year. Popped a nut which cost him three weeks only to come back and then get injured for another eight. And he plays in the Foul Bay defence. Oh wait, no he doesn't any more because it is the Bermuda triangle this year. Another one bites the dust... Vandenberg (hamstring) - 3 to 4 weeks Was finally moved from half-forward in to the midfield and was rewarding everyone with good scores. Then got injured. Good times. I suppose it's not all doom and gloom. I mean Leigh Montagna has strung some games together, albeit some have been during this bye period, but the four games he has been on the park for me out of 10 have been good. His late withdrawrals have also been good for a laugh. Chris Yarran's discipline has been brilliant too. Sure, who doesn't want to punch Chappy and turn up consistently late for meetings costing the team four games when you are already missing three first choice defenders. Lin Jong had a promising start to the season averaging 90 in his first four. Then he broke his hand and has been scared to touch the ball since then. At least Selwood is leading from the front as captain of the side. No, wait, no he isn't. He has been in our best four players once in 10 games. Jack Ziebell hasn't knocked himself or anyone else out for about a month so that's a positive. Unfortunately it looks like he knocked Pav out at training three weeks ago. Old bastard hasn't been the same since. Ibbo hasn't popped a shoulder yet. This means that he is due (I'm sure if we look far enough into his family tree we will find that he is related to Michael Jamison). So, it looks like it's up to Dahlhaus and Dangerfield to take on 15 blokes by themselves. B & F Votes up to Round 10: 18 - Dangerfield 16 - Dahlhaus 11 - Mumford, Shaw 10 - Roughead 7 - Pavlich 6 - Ziebell 5 - Montagna 3 - Selwood, Vandenberg, Judd, Jaensch 1 - Smith, Kelly, Hawkins, Vince
