Righto chaps. It seems most folks are hibernating at this time of year and the FU resembles a veritable ghost town, so I thought I’d amuse myself. On the off chance I also amuse someone else, please do let me know because you’d be the first one. Anyway, I’ve put together an All Australian list of good blokes. It is a three part criteria to earn selection: you must have a short fuse and try and fight people (modern day politically correct footy fight, as there are no fair dinkum blues anymore) you must also play in an admirable way (selective/up for debate) and you must not appear to be a wanker on the field (jake stringer for example). A majority of opinion-based selections here but it’s my list so please do argue in the comments if you think I missed someone or disagree with selection. Taylor Adams Jed Anderson Jeremy Cameron Reece Conca Ben Cunnington Charlie Dixon Toby Greene Blake Hardwick Luke Hodge Zak Jones Tom Liberatore Shane Mumford Toby Nankervis Mitch Robinson Joel Selwood Luke Shuey James Sicily Rory Sloane Jack Steele Jacob Townsend Jack Viney Nick Vlastuin Marley Williams Cameron Zurhaar
@insider pretty good list there bloke other than Toby Greene, he's a d$%k. Additions, perhaps the Fox (Cunnington), Nathan Jones
Good call yad. I’ve added Cunnington but I’m not sure if Nathan Jones is angry enough? Maybe I haven’t watched the Dees much in the last few years but he seems like a sweetheart compared to his brother?
I reckon you're a bit light on in the backline. How about; FB: Blake Hardwick, Scott D. Thompson, Luke Hodge HB: James Sicily, Steven May, Taylor Adams C: Jack Steele, Ben Cunnington, Rory Sloane HF: Mitch Robinson, Jeremy Cameron, Cameron Zurhaar FF: Toby Greene, Charlie Dixon, Jacob Townsend Fol: Shane Mumford, Tom Liberatore, Joel Selwood Int: Toby Nankervis, Jed Anderson, Zak Jones, Jack Viney
Very much so Fresh my good man. There are some conversation-provoking inclusions... or so I thought. Lol.
Haha fair enough. Unfortunately I have barely seen any games this year and the ones I have seen are all Hawks ones so Sicily was the obvious stand out for me. But Selwood? Last year's attempted elbow to Worpel's head still sticks in my head. Also Viney. Geez that punch on with Ebert years ago is the first thing that comes to mind whenever his name is mentioned.
Surely James Sicily is captain material for this team. Or at the very least, VC to Toby Kung-Fu Face-Gouge Greene
