I think that the mid season draft order should be based around the ladder positions last round before the draft. The main purpose of the mid season draft IMO is to help teams fill needs that have been cruelled by injury. But I am only one voice...happy to go with the masses.

I agree with Chief - reverse ladder order immediately before the mid-season draft.
We perhaps need a policy on losses as a result of failing to field a team?

There is a thread for the preseason draft order, I will keep it up date, I assumed we were waiting 48 hours before them being concreted as before, I don't mind too much if we are not, that was the process previously. I believe the mid season one should be reflective of the ladder a round before it commences

Man......do I seem to be getting more confused by the minute, sorry all. I had thought I had pick #4, saw that at the end of last year anyway. But the above shows I have #15 ?? How did that happen? I didnt even make the finals...........

I was just seeking clarity so that folks could plan their tanking well in advance.

One strategy might be to try and offload one of your Rucks for a Ruck/Forward, who seem to be the flavour of 2013. Just sayin'.

Just looking at the pre season draft order.....I always thought a snake was 1-18....and then 18 picks 19 and we go back down the line. So that 1 would have 36 as well, 18would have 19, etc etc This ladder is 1-18, 1-18, 1-18 No biggie and maybe this was already discussed, just checking. sNoZ

This wasdiscussedin the old house, one of the key purposes of the draft is to give the teams at the bottom a greater chance of equalising, ie keeping interested, The draft order follows the principles of the AFL one and is influenced by trading draft picks, and potentially tanking.

There is much wisdom to be found in the old house Grasshopper and it remains free from snakes and nasty drafts. /Portals/0/User%20Images/Haunted_House_Final.jpg

You will notice there is enough feed in the front yard to last an average grasshopper family through the holocaust. The path is littered with kiwi traps, so tread carefully. And there is a special room in the basement to hang the COC. Note also the very cleverly designed disguise for the intercontinental silo.

Sounds like you have been to my secret place..........and typical of chels, littering my yard with traps. I think however the COC needs to be hung up front, for all the world to see
