I'm not sure if I'm reading this correctly but the bolded part (which I agree with) says to me that while the bottom 6 teams are unable to improve their teams, the top 4 best teams can still make changes to improve their teams. I found that to be totally divisive so thought I'd check the rules to see if that is indeed the case and found this. Player movement; All trades, waivers and free agent access will be via this thread http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/tsaddicts-player-movement-thread.89346/ No player movement during a round. No free agent access from the start of the last round until the PSD I'm taking that as the last H&A round.......as it should be. Why are some teams now being allowed to make changes and others are not....
Got some sympathy with your view @choppers about different treatment for the different groupings. Nemesis is following a strict policy of only improving for the finals rounds as opposed to trying to improve our squad overall while other teams do not have the same opportunity as I could see there was an inequity if we indulged in wholesale trading. BTW, I disagree with your view of what is meant by "rounds" being only H&A rounds in our league. The league is using scores from the afl H&A rounds and hence I suggest that is what our rule makers meant by "rounds" - if they even considered this point. Perhaps this needs to discussed for future seasons?
i understand your point of view but the ethos of the rule follows SC draft in that if you are not playing in a particular week, eg finals, then you cannot make any changes. i am now out of the finals race, next week 1 more will bow out, then it is locked for all once the GF kicks off. i did clarrify this at the start of the season - i will find and repost
see this post 2023 check in given i cannot edit the official rules thread (only Len [the original author] can) i will create a new official rules thread in the off season and build on it
The final comes down to the fourth meeting this year of sNoZ v Nemesis; Simon in New York's mob versus the squad drafted by the late TiB that I am running as a tribute to an old mate. Prior meetings this year: Round 9: sNoZ 1086 v Nemesis 1114 Round 11: sNoZ 1241 v Nemesis 1119 Round 21: sNoZ 1244 v Nemesis 1144 After the H&A season: Pos Club W L D F A % F PP 1 SNZ 14 4 0 21782 19686 110.6 WWWWW 56 2 NEM 13 5 0 19860 18718 106.1 WWLWL 52 So statistically (just look at the points for column) sNoZ go in as a favourites, plus they had a week off last week. As well as being on the back foot, Nemesis go in with TiB's signature ringing in their ears: " Never won a thing that I can remember. Not a razoo. SFA." Not really inspirational is it? Will that change? If @JoshyC could load the fixture, all will be revealed next week.
Such a dilemma..........playing against my two best mates on TS, Graeme & TiB, in the Addicts Granny. Kinda love it really, wish TiB & Graeme well. A good game all around. Close contest & all that crap. Go well boys Love ya Tib
Quick unofficial (as Keays kicked a goal to win the match but was only credited with a behind) update. Notwithstanding some rubbish scores from both sides, sNoZ looks like taking this out. sNoZ: 10/880 - Bont and freo's Brayshaw to play Nemesis: 10/842) - Butters and dees' Brayshaw to play
Well, the curse of TiB remains - still " Never won a thing that I can remember. Not a razoo. SFA." Bloody sad, sorry big guy. Congrats Simon, yet another notch on your TS belt.
Cheers Graeme........pretty much a meh effort from both our teams but glad to see the good guys win out again Back2Back Premiers......sorry TiB my old friend, had to keep your SFA record in tact.
Hey guys. I'm going camping tomorrow for about a week and may be without phone reception. My delists are done. I'm wondering if I can get a bit of leniency in the draft. Basically I'm happy to go by all the usual auto-pick conditions but could I ask that with my first 2 picks I get the highest available defender, not including Trezise or Brayshaw? After that happy to take whoever other than Tarryn Thomas. Obviously if I do get some reception I'll send picks through.
Enjoy your trip....... as it stands by my reckoning, you're looking at Witherden Weitering J.McGovern Weller Smith (ADL) Barrass M.McGovern....... a few de-lists still to come might change the order...
I'm back on board so good to take my remaining picks. Just had a look through the draft thread and more than happy with J McGovern and Weller. Cheers @choppers and @JoshyC
