No Shaw, Thomas or Ball...is this good for Sidebottom? Less competition for points but less help as well and the pies could struggle to win games.

I'm pretty sure most people have two defenders playing and providing coverage.

The issue is if players like Clarke/Bower/Bugg/Mohr/Ellis/Morris are dropped or rested.

2 weeks probably not worth a trade, Shaw at best you'd think 100 both weeks, a player like Mohr might get 50 or 60 so you lose at worst 80 points. At this stage, you'd be wanting far more from your trades. IMPO.

Swert I think OK for Sidebottom but great for Jarryd Blair. Is he F/M? Should be, but I think he's only MID this year.

Yeah I'm saving the trade. Carrots, Lids, Birchall and Goddard all have a bye the same week, which is what i'd have if I got rid of him.

Since when were hamstrings two week injuries? Especially when you do them on Wednesday at training...out for at least 3 weeks I reckon.

Ironic that "Heath Shaw trade rule" has come into effect so early in the season!

Its not really Shaw's fault this time. He did a hammy. Can happen to anyone.

But it is a tough one - trade or not?

Could set you back massively, especially with back rookies not setting the world on fire like the Lowers and Stanleys of last year.

Not sure how reliable this bloke is but this coming across Twitter

Shutts10 ? @Shutts10 - Channel 10 Reporter
* Shaun McKernan gets a Crows call up!
* AFL teams not officially released but ... expect Crow Sam Shaw to make his debut. Defender Andy Otten has been dropped.
* Crows are making changes ... midfielder Matthew Wright also named to play against Giants on Saturday.
* Crows making 3 or 4 changes ... hearing Tom Lynch is out. Teams not officially released for another couple of hours

I have fyfe, lake, goodes and shaw. At least this is happening in the start of the year rather than in the last few rounds, like last year when I had no trades left, so lm Planning not to waste a trade this week. At worst, shaw is out for a longer period of time and I trade him for another premium. Also, pardon my ignorance, but who the hell is carrots?

Thomas needs to lose about 5kg. He and Swan look to have eaten too much pudding over the break.

Don't read too much into the Shaw and Thomas injuries,
they're like the so called Priddis injury last week, just keeping him fresh for hawks,
Shaw & Thomas I expect will recover ahead of schedule & in time for Anzac day ;)

Said on the AFL site out for two, only jagged the Hammy yesterday. I've posted on the teams part too, but think I'm tossing up between a premo in Hurn or Carrazo, or making cash but also scoring potential with Jarryn Geary. I have to trade Shaw as I have Grimes and Lake. Who should I go with?

Is it worth going shaw to carrazo? Hate going sideways, but will cop a donut otherwise, and am doubtful about shaw only being out for 2 weeks

Unbelievable.

I have Goodes, Fyfe, Shaw, Lake but have somehow managed to cover all of them. :D Yes with rubbish but better than a donut.

Couch in, Paine in, Smedts in. Thank christ.
