Due to Richelle Cranston decking both Jacinda Barclay and Katie Lynch at our wednesday night cardio boxing session all 3 players have been ruled out for our Round 1 clash with LSC Devils @dmandrews - Richelle for the safety of the other 15 platers, umpires, offiicals and crowd given her quick temper.

Lynch was so upset that she promptly left training and started a long drive back to her family in Melbourne, taking leave of absence from the club. After a 5 minute meeting the list management committee made the decision to tear up Katie's 2019 contract and bring in the inform ORFFW Free Agent Phoebe McWilliams (who kicked 4 in the AFLW preseason match vs Carlton) via the ORFFW 2019 Supplementary draft.

The Big Mac has been given the #24 jumper given Woosha is already assigned the #23 they both wear at AFLW level.

Having read the above post Phoebe McWilliams contacted her agent and had her contract torn up prior to acceptance by the ORFFW Contracts Office, Apparently she wasn't happy with settling for the #24 jumper after all.

After a 30 second list management committee meeting the Mystix have signed a replacement for the replacement player in ORFFW Free Agent Cora Staunton vis the ORFFW 2019 Supplementary draft.

After much trepidation the Mystix property steward has handed Staunton the #14 guernsey as Jaimee Lambert is already assigned the #13 they both wear at AFLW level.

Cora was just about to crack the shits and quit the club as well before she noticed the 2 cartons of Guinness underneath the jumper and now all is sweet provided the same number of frothies are provided on a weekly basis until Mad Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday celebrations are done and dusted post the completion of the season.

Ahead of the completion of the 2020 Preseason Draft the Mystix have assigned the following jumper numbers to their squad, in most cases these will be the same as their AFLW numbers in order to make watching my players easier live or on TV.

    #2 - Danielle Higgins - FWD
Debuting at AFLW level in 2019, the midfielder/forward played all eight matches. The former netballer is the sister of North Melbourne's Shaun Higgins.

Draft history: 2018 open-age selection (Geelong).

    #3 - Amy McDonald - DEF
The wing/half-back was a member of the 2019 VFLW Team of the Year after an impressive season for the Cats. Placed third in the Cats' VFLW best and fairest in her second season after moving from Ballarat. Has learnt what it takes after being a training squad member with the AFLW side in the inaugural 2019 season.

Draft history: 2019 NAB AFLW Draft 5th round selection (Geelong) No. 80 overall.

    #4 - Madison Prespakis (Carlton) - Mid
Prespakis enjoyed a stunning maiden AFLW campaign last season. Immediately establishing herself as one of the League's best midfielders, the teenager averaged 19.1 disposals, kicked seven goals and was rewarded with a best and fairest, a Rising Star and an All-Australian guernsey. Will be aiming to enhance her already lofty reputation in 2020.

Player honours: Equal best and fairest 2019; All-Australian 2019; NAB AFLW Rising Star 2019.

Draft history: 2018 NAB AFLW Draft 1st round selection (Carlton) No. 3 overall.
    http://websites.sportstg.com/team_i...=203522930&client=1-118-58940-478229-26142591

    #5 - Elise O’Dea (Melbourne) - Mid
Incredibly consistent across all three seasons, O'Dea is tough and efficient at inside contests and an integral member of the midfield unit. Although she missed out on a third straight All Australian selection in 2019, it wasn't from a lack of effort, averaging 18 disposals, four marks and four tackles across seven games.

    Player honours: co-captain 2019; 3rd best and fairest 2017; 2nd best and fairest 2018; All-Australian 2017-2018.

Draft history: 2016 NAB AFLW Draft 1st round selection (Melbourne) No. 8 overall.

#6 - Jacqui Yorston (Gold Coast) - Mid - wears #5 for Gold Coast so has been assigned the locker alongside O'Dea.
Impressed in her first year of AFLW with Brisbane after making her debut mid-season.
Yorston is a determined inside midfielder who can also play forward. A fierce tackler, she isn't easily overawed and is a good ball-winner.

Playing honours: 2019 NAB AFLW Rising Star nomination.

    #8 - Najwa Allen - MID
Hard-running midfielder who arrives at the Crows after winning the SANFLW's best and fairest award in her first season with Norwood having relocated from Canberra.
Led the competition for disposals and in the top-10 for marks, clearances and inside 50s. Only took up Australian rules football four years ago having previously played soccer.

Draft history: 2019 NAB AFLW Draft 2nd round selection (Adelaide) No. 37 overall.

    #9 - Orla O'Dwyer - FWD
Recruited from Ireland, O'Dwyer was the captain of Tipperary's camogie (women's hurling) team and also represented the county in gaelic football. She is powerful and has good speed. O'Dwyer turned heads at her first AFLW training session where she easily won Brisbane's 2km time trial.

Draft history: 2019 other sport rookie selection (Brisbane Lions).

    #10 - Kaitlyn Ashmore (North Melbourne) - F/M
#11 - Ebony Antonio (Fremantle) - Def - wears #12 (was 10) for Freo but is pleased to pull on the #11 for Manildra Mystix for a second season
#12 - Chantel Emonson - MID - wears #11 for the Demons but will be #12 for the Mystix in this campaign
#13 - Danika Pisconeri - RUC - wears #11 for the Eagles but will have to go 2 numbers higher for the Manildra side
#16 - Aileen Gilroy - DEF - wears #8 for the Kangas but will be sporting the #16 for Manildra's finest
    #17 - Elisabeth Georgostathis - MID
    #18 - Britney Gutnecht - FWD
    #19 - Millie Brown (Geelong) - DEF
#20 - Kate Hore (Melbourne) - Fwd - wears #10 for the Demons but wil be double trouble for opposing sides in the ORFFW
    http://websites.sportstg.com/team_info.cgi?action=PSTATS&pID=201543963&client=1-118-10583-478229

    #22 - Ellie Gavalas - MID
    #24 - Maddy McMahon - RUC
    #25 - Rosie Dillon - MID
#26 - Haneen Zreika - MID - wears #24 for the Giants but will run out in the #26
    #28 - Nadia Von Bertouch - FWD
#29 - Kate Darby - FWD - wears 8 for Geelong but will be #29 for Manildra
#33 - McKenzie Dowrick (West Coast) - Def - wears #5 for WCE but is suiting up as #33 for the 2nd consecutive season.
