His advice was not much chop either - he reckoned Dan H and a sweetener would possibly secure Rhys Stanley - we told him 'he was dreaming'. There was no chance if us securing such an obviously one sided deal. you almost certainly extracted fair value then
Misfits 2014 Initial shape; Back: Enright, Terlich, Butler, Bruce - Pears Mid: Steven, Ward, Stanley, Whitfield - Myers Ruck: Ryder - Nichols Fwd: Bock, Bellchambers, Cameron, Smith - Day Int: Tomlinson, Williams Reserves: Dempster, Young, Sewell, Ross, Jaksch LRO: Cornelius, Firrito Backs;Enright has one more good year in him, Terlich a 2nd year risk but very promising, Bruce to get plenty of games at the saints. Mids; Steven to go elite this year, Ward getting assistance should help his scores, Whitfield likely to build and Williams set to explode. Ruck; One too many really Fwds; Positional changes have not assisted this line, zero depth and Jaksch no certainty to get good game time. Very different side to the one I had on paper yesterday, 7 positional changes in total, certainly changes draft and trade perspective if not actual outcomes..
Misfits community page, following in the steps of our commish.. https://www.facebook.com/MarbleBarMisfits Moderate efforts will be made to keep it current until will get a sponsor for it
Now I feel shit Port Adelaide ruckman Jarrad Redden out for at least eight weeks after knee surgery http://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/port...
Nah all good mate, he is there to provide cover for Paddy, as long as Paddy keeps his stuff together until he gets back I am nil loss
As Bob said, the times they are a changin....... The Misfits have had their most active offseason to date, and we still have a month to go.. The changes so far; Young Tom Nichols has headed for the Opening, David Myer's earnestly expressed desire to become a Nuffa was realised, and Corey Enright became a Battler. Firrito has been told to empty his locker to make way for youth, as has Sean Dempster, it's with regret we say goodbye to Sean and the MB management would like to thank him for his faithful service, fact is dude just got old. As for Firrito, well he didn't do much and we didn't pay him much... Out with the old and in with the new; Curtly Hampton and Jack Hombsch have joined us to help build a better dyke in front of goal, though on his only preseason outing to date Hombsch appeared intent on getting Firrito's role, this wont be allowed to continue. Marcus Paparone and Jarred Redden have come on board as projects for the forward and ruck lines respectively. We have advanced our currently active PSD picks from 2, 20, 36 & 49 to a much more enticing 2, 16, 20 & 50. There is still the potential for a 5th draft pick at the PSD. The Misfits have relentlessly engaged a youth recruitment drive as a result of poor management decisions at the time of the inaugural draft and this focus is expected to start paying dividends toward the latter half of this season.

The new Misfits lineup is below, it would look a lot better if we hadn't bitten the same injury curse we bite every year. There will be no official training sessions for Marble Bar this week, our players staff and management are all going to be hungover for at least that long celebrating the HUGE win of our feeder club, the GWS Giants.
TerryinBangkok wrote: Can any of your players still walk? Not a soul, we Misfits celebrate as a squad We have also commissioned stonemasons to design a Pyramid for Callan Ward, something a cubit higher than the one the built for Cheops, but in orange and with plumbing...

Emergency meetings are schedule for this week between the AFL coaches association and the Marble Bar management, 12 players out of 28 make the AFL R1 teams list. Whilst MB conceded this is a risk when focussing on young players, there have been a series of statements regarding the AFL selection panels abilities to distinguish their arse from their elbow, MB intends to ship diagrammatic charts to assist with next week's selections.
